Overview
The Vimar Eikon is a 2-module mounting frame system for modular switching devices, with one variant covering the frame itself and the other adding a matching transparent protection cover for the same 71 mm format. The frame version is made for ø 60 mm mounting boxes and uses 71 mm centre spacing, which is the key fit point when you are matching an existing cutout or box pattern.
In practical terms, this range covers two different jobs in the same installation. The 21602 frame is the support piece used for flush mounting, while the 21602.C cover fits over a compatible 2-module frame. The frame accepts front-side insertion of the module and can be set horizontally or vertically, which helps when panel space on board is limited or the switch layout needs to follow the console design.
Key features
- 2-module Eikon format with 71 mm distance between centres
- Frame variant fits ø 60 mm mounting boxes
- Front-side module mounting with horizontal or vertical orientation
- Honeycomb frame structure, corner slots, and hooking teeth support panel fixing and multi-frame alignment
- Cover variant is a transparent protective cap for the matching 2-module, 71 mm frame format
Variants
This range is offered in two configurations: the mounting frame itself and a matching protection cover.
What changes between the variants is the function of the part rather than the layout size. Both relate to the same 2-module Eikon arrangement with 71 mm centre spacing, while only the frame variant is the structural mounting piece for the device.
- VM21602, Accessory Mounting Frame. This is the 2-module frame with claws for ø 60 mm mounting boxes and 71 mm centre spacing, used as the support for the installed device.
- VM21602.C, Accessory Protection Cover. This is the transparent cover for the matching 2-module frame with 71 mm centre spacing, used when the front of the mounted frame needs to stay covered.
Compatibility and fit
For the mounting frame, the main checks are the Eikon 2-module layout, a ø 60 mm round box, and 71 mm spacing between centres. It is also suitable for mounting in a round 60 mm junction box. The cover follows the same 2-module, 71 mm frame format, so it is used with the matching support rather than as a standalone mounting part.
Installation and setup
The frame includes claws for box mounting, slots at the corners for panel fixing, and hooking teeth that help line up multiple frames when several modules are installed side by side. On boats, that makes it a straightforward choice for tidy switch banks and outlet groupings in cabins, helm panels, and other protected interior electrical points where Vimar Eikon devices are already part of the build.
Use on board
This range suits marine refits and new interior panel work where the goal is to keep an Eikon installation neat and consistent. The frame is the part that carries the device in the panel or box, while the cover is the matching piece when that same frame needs a protective front cover.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
