Overview

The TACO Marine ShadeFin is a boat shade system that adds removable sun coverage from a rod holder, T-top, gunnel location with the proper adapter, or compatible ShadeFin mount.

It uses a fin-style body with ribs that open out from the underside release buttons and lock the fabric in place. The shade area measures 5 ft wide by 6 ft long, giving useful coverage for the helm, cockpit, foredeck, aft deck, or fishing area without a permanent frame.

The fabric has a UPF 50+ sun protection rating and the body is offered with white or black top finishes over a silver satin underside. This range is useful for boaters who want shade that can move around the boat, stow in a bag, and avoid drilling where the selected mounting setup allows it.

Variants

The ShadeFin is offered in four configurations that change fabric color, body finish, and whether the Fixed Rod Holder Mount Kit is included.

All four configurations share the same ShadeFin product family and the same general shade format. The main buying difference is the color package and whether the kit includes the fixed mount or only the ShadeFin and bag kit.

• T10-3000-1: White fabric with a white top and silver satin underside, supplied as ShadeFin with white fabric and bag kit, with no Fixed Rod Holder. This configuration suits boats with an existing compatible ShadeFin mounting plan or a separate mount purchase.
• T10-3000-2: Black fabric with a black top and silver satin underside, supplied as ShadeFin with black fabric and bag kit, with no Fixed Rod Holder. The darker fabric and top finish pair well with black canvas, black powder-coated hardware, or darker upholstery accents.
• T10-3000-3: White fabric with a white top and silver satin underside, supplied as ShadeFin with white fabric, bag, and Fixed Rod Holder Mount Kit. This version includes the fixed mount hardware for installations that call for that ShadeFin mounting style.
• T10-3000-4: Black fabric with a black top and silver satin underside, supplied as ShadeFin with black fabric, bag, and Fixed Rod Holder Mount Kit. This version combines the black color package with the fixed mount kit for a darker visual match on compatible boats.

Installation and setup

ShadeFin is made for boaters who want shade that can be deployed only when needed. The body is mounted to the selected ShadeFin-compatible holder or mount, then the fabric section opens from the body and locks into position.

Mount choice matters. The versions without the Fixed Rod Holder Mount Kit require a compatible mounting solution to be purchased or already installed. The versions with the Fixed Rod Holder Mount Kit include that mount style, but the final fit still depends on the boat’s rod holder position, angle, structure, and the accessories used.

Use on board

This shade is a strong match for center consoles, bay boats, dual consoles, and other boats where fixed canvas does not cover every seating or fishing position. It can help shade anglers at the stern, guests forward of the console, or the helm area when the sun angle changes during the day.

Because it stows in a bag, it also makes sense for boaters who do not want a permanent extension hanging off the top while trailering, docking, or fishing around tight structure.

We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
