Overview

The Victron Energy REC000300010R is a Skylla-i Control GX remote panel for Victron Skylla-i battery chargers, giving the helm, nav station, electrical panel, or equipment locker a clear way to monitor charger status and adjust charging behavior without going directly to the charger.

This panel works with all Skylla-i chargers and communicates over the VE.CAN bus using a regular UTP cable with RJ45 connectors. Once connected, it shows the status of the linked charger and lets the operator view key charging values including charge current, battery voltage, input current, and input current limit.

On boats with limited shore power, generator capacity, or shared AC loads at the dock, the input current limit control is especially useful. The rotary knob allows the current limit to be adjusted from the panel, helping match the charger load to the available AC supply.

Key features
  • Remote control panel for Victron Skylla-i battery chargers.
  • VE.CAN communication with RJ45 connections for straightforward integration with the charger.
  • Displays charger status through LEDs for Bulk, Absorption, Float or storage, and Alarm states.
  • Shows charge current, battery voltage, input current, and input current limit during normal charger operation.
  • Rotary knob allows the charger input current limit to be adjusted from the panel.
  • On and off button can switch the Skylla-i charger from the panel when the charger main switch is on.
  • Automatic LED brightness control uses a light sensor, making the display easier to live with in darker cabins or engine-room spaces.
  • Supports installations with several Skylla-i control panels on one charger or on synchronized, parallel-connected Skylla-i chargers.
Installation and setup

The panel connects to the Skylla-i charger with a standard UTP cable fitted with two RJ45 connectors. Both the charger and the panel have two internally connected RJ45 sockets, so either socket can be used for the connection. RJ45 bus terminators need to be fitted at both ends of the VE.CAN bus.

For a typical one-charger installation, no special configuration is needed once the panel, charger, cable, and terminators are in place. In more complex systems where multiple Skylla-i chargers are on the same VE.CAN network but charge different battery banks, the device instance may need to be set with an NMEA 2000 network tool.

Use on board

This remote panel suits vessels where the Skylla-i charger is installed away from the normal operating area, such as in an engine room, technical locker, lazarette, or under-berth electrical space. It gives the crew a more convenient point for checking charger behavior during marina charging, generator charging, commissioning, or battery-bank troubleshooting.

It is a practical match for cruising boats, workboats, and larger onboard DC systems where charging information needs to be visible without opening panels or working around live electrical equipment more often than necessary.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
