Overview
The Vimar VM20381.012 is a 1-module LED pilot lamp insert used with Vimar Eikon panels and devices to add a small status or locator light to a low-voltage circuit.
It supports 12 V AC (50-60 Hz) or 12 V DC (SELV) and snap-mounts into a flush-mounted module position behind the cover plate, so you can keep switch indication clean and consistent at the helm, nav station, or an interior electrical panel.
With an IP40 rating, it is meant for protected, dry locations. Keep it away from spray, washdowns, and any spot where water can reach the device box.
Key features
- Supply: 12 V AC 50-60 Hz or 12 V DC (SELV) for common low-voltage onboard systems.
- 1-module format for Vimar Eikon device grids and panel layouts.
- Engage (snap-in) fastening for flush-mounted installations.
- Non-replaceable LED light source to avoid bulb changes inside the panel.
- No flashing function and no fixed symbol or imprint, keeping labeling up to the panel design.
- Thermoplastic construction with an untreated, matte grey finish (RAL 7024 similar).
- IP40 rating for sheltered interior mounting locations.
Compatibility and fit
This is an Eikon 1-module insert, so it needs to be paired with compatible Eikon mounting hardware and a matching cover plate. It is intended to sit in a standard flush-mounted device box or panel cutout used for modular switchgear.
If you are mixing series or finishes on board, match the module family and faceplate style so the lamp lines up correctly with the rest of the panel.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it on a protected 12 V circuit and treat it as a low-voltage indicator load. On DC systems, keep the feed within SELV practice and use appropriate overcurrent protection for the circuit in line with your vessel’s wiring standards.
If your boat uses a 12 V AC control feed from a transformer, the same module can be used on that 50-60 Hz supply.
Installation and setup
Install the device box or panel frame first, make up the connections with enough slack for service, then snap the lamp insert into the 1-module position before fitting the cover plate. Confirm illumination and correct circuit behavior before final assembly.
In high-vibration areas, take care with wire routing and strain relief inside the box so the module is not carrying cable load.
Use cases on board
This module is commonly used as a status indicator for switched circuits such as nav light controls, pump controls, or equipment enable switches where you want a quick visual check without adding a separate panel lamp.
It suits boats already using Vimar Eikon panels and owners who want consistent, low-voltage indication in interior spaces that stay dry.
Maintenance and care
Wipe the front gently with a soft cloth and keep the device area dry. If the LED stops lighting, the module is replaced as a complete insert rather than servicing a bulb.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
