Overview
The Garmin 010-12982-02 is a powered magnetic mount that powers select Garmin dezl and RV navigators and adds an embedded HD Digital Traffic receiver plus a video-in port.
It is mainly a vehicle accessory, so most boat owners use it in the tow vehicle, truck, or RV to keep their navigator charged on long haul days. The video input can also bring a wired camera feed to the navigator screen, which helps when backing down a ramp or lining up a trailer.
Key features
- Magnetic attachment for quick on and off without loosening the base
- Powers a compatible Garmin navigator while it is docked in the mount
- Embedded HD Digital Traffic receiver for traffic updates and basic weather data, including current temperature and a 6-day forecast
- 3.5 mm composite video-in jack for third-party wired backup cameras that output NTSC or PAL video
- Works with compatible suction cup windshield mounts or screw-down dash mounts, sold separately
- Compatible with Garmin dezl OTR1000, dezl OTR1010, dezl OTR800, dezl OTR810, RV 1090, RV 1095, RV 890, and RV 895
Compatibility and fit
This mount is made for the Garmin dezl OTR1000, dezl OTR1010, dezl OTR800, dezl OTR810, RV 1090, RV 1095, RV 890, and RV 895 navigators. It is not intended for Garmin marine chartplotters or handheld GPS units.
If you are replacing a different Garmin traffic receiver setup, note that this mount does not use GTM traffic receiver cables.
Installation and setup
The mount body attaches to a compatible suction cup windshield mount or a compatible screw-down dash mount, both sold separately. Once mounted, the navigator snaps on magnetically, so you can pull the unit off for storage without undoing the base each time.
Plan cable routing so the connector and the video lead are protected from foot traffic and sharp edges. In a marine environment, keep the install inside the cabin and away from washdowns and salt spray.
Video input notes
The video-in port uses a 3.5 mm composite input and supports third-party wired backup cameras that output NTSC or PAL video. This is useful when you want a single screen view while maneuvering in tight yards or backing toward a ramp.
Use cases on board
This mount is a good match for boaters who rely on a compatible Garmin RV or truck navigator for trailering routes and road navigation to distant launches. It also suits crews who want a simple way to view a wired camera feed while parking a trailer or setting up at the dock.
Maintenance and care
Keep the magnetic surfaces clean so the navigator seats flat and stays steady over bumps. If the mount is stored in a salty environment, wipe it down and dry it, then check that the contacts are clean before reinstalling the navigator.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
