Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20113 axial reversing switch is a modular switch that mounts flush in the panel and is used in multi-point lighting circuits. It is rated 16 AX at 250 V~, supports self-ballasted lamps up to 200 W, and accepts an exchangeable LED for control or orientation lighting.
This switch is part of the Eikon device range and uses screw terminals with snap-in fastening. The body is thermoplastic with a matt lacquered finish, IP40 protection, and a built-in depth of 34.5 mm. On a boat, it fits best in interior locations such as cabins, galleys, passageways, and enclosed helm areas where a clean flush installation matters and the switch is not exposed to washdown or direct spray.
Key features
- 16 AX, 250 V~ switching rating for lighting circuits and similar onboard AC loads within the stated rating
- Lightable version with exchangeable LED for control or orientation indication in low-light interior spaces
- Available in 1-module and 2-module formats to match different Eikon panel layouts
- Flush-mounted snap-in installation with screw-terminal connections
- IP40 housing for protected interior mounting areas
- Thermoplastic body with halogen-free construction and a matt lacquered finish
Variants
This range is offered in grey, silver, and white finishes, with either a 1-module or 2-module body. That gives you flexibility when matching an existing Eikon panel layout or keeping a new interior installation visually consistent across the boat.
The core electrical function stays the same across the listed versions: axial 1P reversing switch operation, 16 AX at 250 V~, lightable replaceable button, screw terminals, and IP40 protection. The main difference is the visible finish and the module width. The 1-module version is 22.3 mm wide, while the 2-module version is 44.8 mm wide. Height stays 49 mm, overall depth is 44 mm, and built-in depth is 34.5 mm.
Installation and fit
This is an Eikon-series insert, so it should be matched with the correct support and cover plate for the chosen module width. The shallow built-in depth helps when panel space is limited behind liners, cabin bulkheads, or furniture-mounted switch panels. Because it is a flush-mounted interior device, it is better suited to protected areas than to open cockpits, exposed flybridges, or other spaces that see frequent spray.
For refit work, the module count matters as much as the finish. A 1-module switch works where panel space is tight or where the switch sits beside other narrow inserts. A 2-module switch suits layouts that need a wider opening or where the rest of the Eikon assembly is already set up for 2-module devices.
Use on board
This switch makes sense for boats that use AC interior lighting circuits controlled from more than one point, such as a cabin light operated from both the doorway and berth area, or a passageway light controlled from each end. It is a good match for owners and installers who want the Eikon look, optional locator lighting, and a clean flush finish in protected onboard living spaces.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
