Overview
The Blue Sea Systems AC Rotary Switch is a 4-pole AC source selector for boats that need controlled switching between onboard AC sources and two 120V load groups. It uses an OFF + 2-position layout with three source inputs and two load circuits out, giving the helm or electrical panel a clear way to isolate power or select the active AC source.
This switch family is built for AC systems where circuit protection is provided elsewhere. Across the range, the switches carry a 600V AC maximum voltage rating, mount in panels up to 0.16 in (4.00 mm) thick, and are UL 508 listed. The two available versions cover 120V 30A service and 120/240V 65A service.
Key features
- 4-pole AC rotary switch for managing AC source selection on board
- OFF + 2-position layout gives a clear power-off position between source selections
- Three source inputs and two load circuits out for dual 120V load-group arrangements
- 600V AC maximum voltage rating across both configurations
- Mounts in panels up to 0.16 in (4.00 mm) thick for integration into suitable AC panels
- UL 508 listed for use as an industrial rated switch
- Works where the required circuit protection is already handled elsewhere in the AC system
Variants
This AC rotary switch is offered in two configurations that vary by nominal voltage and maximum amperage.
Both versions use the same OFF + 2-position source-selection format, a 4-pole layout, three source inputs, two load circuits out, a 600V AC maximum voltage rating, panel mounting up to 0.16 in (4.00 mm), and UL 508 listing.
- 6337: 120V nominal voltage, 30A maximum amperage. This version matches lower-amperage AC source selection where the vessel uses two 120V load groups and separate circuit protection.
- 9093: 120/240V nominal voltage, 65A maximum amperage. This version covers higher-amperage 120/240V AC source arrangements while keeping the same OFF + 2-position rotary control layout.
Installation and fit
The switch is meant for installation in an AC electrical panel with enough rear clearance for the selected version. The 30A version measures 1.89 in high by 1.89 in wide by 2.98 in deep, while the 65A version measures 2.52 in high by 2.52 in wide by 4.50 in deep.
Use it in systems where the switching function is separate from the overcurrent protection. Because this is part of the boat's AC shore power or onboard AC distribution system, installation should follow the vessel wiring plan and be handled by qualified marine electrical personnel.
Use on board
This type of selector is a practical fit for cruising boats, sportfishing boats, and larger sailboats that need a clear way to manage AC source input at the main distribution area. It is most useful where two 120V load groups are already planned and the operator needs simple rotary source control without adding circuit protection at the switch itself.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
