Overview

The Simrad 000-13910-001 is a through-hull Medium CHIRP transducer that covers 80-130 kHz and reads both depth and water temperature, with a 600 W power rating.

It uses a fixed 20-degree tilted element so the sonar beam points straight down when installed on hull sections with 16-24 degrees of deadrise, helping you keep consistent bottom tracking when the boat is moving.

The stainless steel housing footprint is about 94 mm in diameter and about 134 mm tall, with a listed weight around 1.4 kg. The attached 10 m cable terminates in a 9-pin plug for compatible single-channel CHIRP sounder inputs.

Key features
  • Medium CHIRP band of 80-130 kHz for a balanced mix of detail and depth performance
  • 600 W rating with a maximum depth specification of 274 m (900')
  • Fixed 20-degree tilt matched to 16-24 degrees of hull deadrise at the mounting location
  • Depth and fast-response water temperature sensing in one through-hull installation
  • Beamwidth of 24 degrees to 16 degrees (-3 dB) across the band
  • Stainless steel through-hull body that suits common hull materials
  • 10 m attached cable with a 9-pin plug for compatible CHIRP sounder ports
Compatibility and fit

The tilt angle matters as much as the frequency range. Measure the deadrise where the transducer will be installed, not at the transom. This 20-degree version lines up for hull sections that fall between 16 and 24 degrees.

Hole size is 70 mm in fiberglass or wood hulls and 79 mm in metal hulls. Confirm you have enough flat area inside for the nut and sealing surfaces before drilling.

Installation and setup

Plan the location where the face will stay in clean, aeration-free water. Keep it away from strakes, steps, intakes, and trailer bunks, and leave space to service it from inside the boat.

Bed and torque it evenly so the housing seats properly, then route the cable with gentle bends and good chafe protection on the way to the display or sonar module.

Use on board

This style of transducer makes sense for boats that want a permanent through-hull install for dependable depth readings while running offshore, working structure inshore, or cruising where accurate soundings matter.

It is a strong match for moderate-V hulls that want one Medium CHIRP channel for fish and bottom detail plus a water temperature feed for situational awareness.

Maintenance and care

Check the face for marine growth and clean it with a non-abrasive method appropriate for transducer plastics. During haul-out, inspect the bedding and hardware and confirm the cable jacket and connector are still in good shape.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
