It is a good match for boats and yachts that already use the Vimar Idea system and need an interior 250 V receptacle for Italian and German style plugs. It is not the right choice for washdown areas, open weather locations, or as a shore power inlet.
Installation and use on board
The IP20 front and screw-terminal connection make this a straightforward choice for protected cabin joinery, console panels, and other interior mounting points where spray and direct wash are not part of normal use. For marine AC systems, the outlet should be fitted only where the vessel wiring standard, circuit protection, and enclosure arrangement are correct for a 250 V receptacle.
