Overview
The Vimar Idea 16121 push button is a built-in modular switch with two independent 1P NO push buttons, rated at 10 A and 250 V, in a compact 24.8 x 50.1 x 38.0 mm body.
Each button works with momentary action and can close its circuit independently. Both buttons can also close at the same time, so this unit is not meant for reversing motor functions. With IP40 protection, a matt thermoplastic housing, and a halogen-free build, it makes more sense behind a protected interior panel than in an open cockpit, wet locker, or washdown area.
This belongs to the Vimar Idea range and is made for built-in installation with snap fastening. It is a straightforward non-illuminated push button with no monitoring contact, so it suits simple control points where a clean, compact switch is needed.
Key features
- Two independent 1P NO momentary push buttons in one module
- Rated 10 A at 250 V
- Built-in snap-in mounting for flush installation within the Vimar Idea system
- IP40 protection for dry interior locations
- Thermoplastic, halogen-free body with matt finish
- Label space on the device for circuit identification
Variants
This product is offered in two color configurations.
The confirmed difference between variants is color and part number. The electrical rating, body size, mounting method, finish, and IP40 protection stay the same across both versions.
- VM16121.B / Color White. This keeps the same switch layout and rating, with a light finish that sits neatly in bright interior panels and cabin switch positions.
- VM16121 / Color Gray. This keeps the same switch layout and rating, with a darker finish that matches gray or darker panel trims more naturally.
Installation and fit
This is a built-in device with engage snap fastening, so it should be fitted into a recessed switch location within a compatible Vimar Idea assembly. Before ordering for a refit, check the existing frame and cover system on board and confirm that the mounting depth can accept a 38.0 mm device.
Because the switch is non-illuminated and has no monitoring contact, it is best used where a plain momentary command is needed without status feedback at the button itself.
Use on board
This push button suits interior helm panels, cabins, galleys, or utility spaces where a protected switch position is available and the boat already uses, or is being built around, the Vimar Idea modular format. It is a sensible match for owners and installers who want a compact dual push button for sheltered control points rather than an exposed-weather deck switch.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
