Overview
The Vimar Idea 2-way push button is a modular built-in switch insert for protected interior installations where a directional control with a central OFF position is needed. It is a 1P 10 A 250 V~ 2-way push button with 3 terminals, directional arrows on the rocker, and an IP40 rating.
This insert uses a thermoplastic body with a matt finish and snap fastening for assembly into the matching modular setup. It is halogen-free, has a label space on the front, and does not include lighting or a monitoring contact. Width is 24.8 mm and depth is 43.6 mm, so panel depth should be checked before final fit-out.
On board, this type of switch suits enclosed helm stations, cabin control panels, and other dry interior areas where the IDEA range is already being used. It is not the right choice for exposed exterior positions or washdown areas.

Variants
This product is offered in two color configurations.
The confirmed differences are color, similar RAL reference, and overall height. The electrical rating, 3-terminal layout, central OFF position, IP40 protection, width, and depth remain the same across both versions.
- VM16150.B, Color Ivory. This is the lighter finish in the range and uses a similar RAL 9001 tone. Overall height is 48.0 mm.
- VM16150, Color Gray. This version uses a darker gray finish with a similar RAL 7015 tone. Overall height is 50.1 mm.
Installation and fit
This is a built-in modular insert, so it should be specified where the Vimar IDEA system is already being used or planned into the panel. The 43.6 mm depth matters in thinner consoles and joinery, especially where wiring space is limited behind the face of the panel.
The 3-terminal layout and central OFF position make it suitable for control points that need separate directional actuation from one rocker, as long as the wiring arrangement and connected load stay within the 10 A, 250 V rating. It is a good match for refits and new installations that need a clean switch layout in saloons, cabins, or enclosed control stations.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
