Overview

The Blue Sea Systems 7517 is a remote battery charger display for P12 battery chargers that can also show voltage for up to three battery banks on its own. When it is connected to a P12 charger, the screen can show charger summary data including voltage, charging current, charging stage, and faults in plain language.

The display runs on 6 to 36V DC, reads one to three battery inputs with a common reference, and uses a 55 x 28 mm yellow OLED screen that stays readable in daylight. It will also keep showing bank voltage bar graphs when AC power is not present, so you still get a quick check of battery status at the panel.

Key features
  • Monitors voltage on 1 to 3 battery banks and detects the number of banks automatically.
  • Shows the P12 charger summary screen with voltage, charging current, charging stage, and charger faults when linked to a P12 charger.
  • Accepts 6 to 36V DC input and includes reverse polarity protection.
  • Yellow OLED display area measures 55 x 28 mm and remains readable in daylight.
  • Dip-switch setup selects voltage bar graphs or charger summary view.
  • Continues to show voltage bar graphs even when AC power is not present.
  • Optional standby mode shuts the screen off after 4 hours, and the built-in knock sensor wakes it back up.
  • Built as a drop-in replacement for traditional rectangular displays.
Compatibility and fit

This display is meant for boats using a Blue Sea Systems P12 charger and needing charger information away from the charger itself. It also works as a straightforward battery voltage display when no P12 charger is connected, which is useful for house, start, and auxiliary bank monitoring from one panel location.

It suits refits where panel space is already cut for a rectangular remote monitor. It is a good match for cruisers, pilothouse boats, and workboats where the charger is mounted out of sight but battery status still needs to be checked quickly.

Installation and setup

Screen selection is handled by dip switches, letting the display show voltage bar graphs or the P12 charger summary screen. The included 25 ft Cat5e cable gives room to mount the display at a helm, nav station, or cabin electrical panel while the charger stays in a separate compartment.

Current draw is up to 50 mA in normal use, and standby mode drops draw to less than 1 mA after 4 hours of inactivity. A tap on the unit wakes the display through the built-in knock sensor, which is useful when the monitor is mounted flush in a panel.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
