Overview
The Vimar Idea 16723 is a 3-module mounting frame with screws for fitting 2-module Arké devices behind Idea cover plates in 3-module mounting boxes. It is a flush-mounted thermoplastic frame, and the module inserts mount from the front side, which helps when assembling or servicing the finished installation.
The frame can be installed horizontally or vertically, with a 3-module layout in the horizontal position and 1 module in the vertical position. It does not include an installation box, so it is used with the correct 3-module box already in place.
Key features
- 3-module mounting frame for 3-module mounting boxes
- Made for 2-module Arké devices used with Idea cover plates
- Supplied with screws for fixed mounting
- Front-side insertion of module inserts helps during assembly and service
- Supports horizontal or vertical mounting orientation
- Thermoplastic construction in a flush-mounted format
Variants
This frame is offered in two color configurations.
The change between variants is the frame color. The mounting format stays the same across the range: 3 modules, screw fixing, flush mounting, and compatibility with 2-module Arké devices used with Idea cover plates in 3-module mounting boxes.
- VM16723: Color Gray. This version keeps the same frame layout in a gray finish for installations using darker trim combinations.
- VM16723.B: Color White. This version keeps the same frame layout in a white finish for installations using light cover plates and interior panels.
Compatibility and fit
This frame is for Vimar installations that combine Arké devices with Idea cover plates. It is not a universal frame, so fit depends on using the matching Vimar modular parts and a 3-module mounting box.
It does not have a built-in installation box and it is not intended for 60 mm round junction boxes, wall ducts, subfloor installation duct boxes, or 35 mm DIN rail mounting.
Installation and setup
The frame fixes with screws and sits flush once the matching box, device, and cover plate are assembled. Because the modules insert from the front, it works well in refits and service jobs where access from the face of the panel matters.
Use on board
For marine interiors, this frame fits best in protected accommodation spaces where Vimar modular switching or control points are built into a wall panel or furniture face. It makes sense on boats already using the Idea plate format and needing to adapt a 2-module Arké device into a 3-module box layout.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
