Michigan Wheel Thrust Washer Evinrude V4 (990406)

The thrust washer is located between the bottom unit and the propeller on the prop shaft and may or may not contain splines. It's a vital part of installing a boat propeller because it fits the shaft that neither it nor the propeller can move forward under thrust, sending thrust to the prop shafts and protecting the gear housing and its seal from contact with the revolving propeller. The Evinrude/Johnson V4 4-1/4" gearcase outboards are compatible with the Michigan Wheel Thrust Washer. This thrust washer is necessary when replacing an Interchangeable Evinrude aluminum propeller with a Michigan Match.
