Overview
The Lumitec 112557 is a flush-mount LED downlight with a black finish and Spectrum RGBW color plus a 5000K white mode for 10-30V DC boats.
It’s rated at 4W and draws about 290 mA at 12V (160 mA at 24V), with up to 210 lumens in white. The face is 2 inches across with an overall depth of about 0.75 inches, so it fits cleanly in headliners, cockpits, hardtops, and other overhead panels where you want a small footprint.
The housing is sealed to IP67 and is built for wet marine spaces where washdowns, salt spray, and vibration are part of normal life on board.

Installation and setup
Plan the layout first, then cut the mounting hole and check for clearance behind the panel. The shallow mounting depth helps on thin headliners and tight hardtop cores, but you still want room for the light body and wiring to sit without being pinched.
The spring retention system holds the fixture from behind the mounting surface, giving you a finished look without exposed fasteners. This style works well in rows for even cabin lighting or as spaced accents under an overhang.
Electrical and system integration
Connect to a 10-30V DC supply. The built-in control behavior supports dimming and color changes through PLI and third-party dimmer compatibility (3PD) where used, along with timed toggled protocol (TTP) for switching modes through timed power toggles.
On refits, this can keep wiring simple when you want color control without running additional control lines through a headliner or hardtop.
Compatibility and fit
This downlight suits overhead mounting in cabins, helm areas, hardtops, and covered cockpits. The small 2 inch trim helps it blend into modern interiors, and the IP67 sealing makes it reasonable for exposed areas that see spray or frequent cleaning.
It’s a good match for boaters who want normal white lighting most of the time, with the option to switch to color for evenings at anchor or for mood lighting around seating areas.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue when needed and wipe the lens and trim with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh solvents on the lens, and keep the sealing surfaces clean if you ever remove the light for access behind the panel.
