Overview
The Lumitec 111823 is a positionable LED utility light with a heavy duty surface-mount base for general lighting and close-up tasks on a boat. It runs on 10-30 VDC for 12V and 24V systems, uses 6W, and outputs 340 lumens of 5000K white light. The fixture is sealed to IP67 for wet locations and washdowns, and this version has no built-in switch so it can be controlled from a panel switch or upstream dimmer circuit.
The round base measures 2.53 inches across, which helps when you are fitting lighting onto a bulkhead, overhead, or cockpit sidewall. Because the head is aimable, you can point light at a chart table, steps, a berth, or a work area without lighting up the whole cabin.
This is a good match for boaters who want a clean, cool-white work-light look in a compact fixture, especially in spots that see spray, vibration, and frequent use.

Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location so the head has room to swivel without hitting trim, doors, or soft goods. If you are installing it outside or in a damp locker, seal the fasteners and the wire pass-through so water cannot migrate into the core or behind panels.
Route wiring with a drip loop and secure it so it cannot chafe from vibration. On open decks and in cockpits, keep the run tucked under coamings or inside conduit where it will not get snagged by gear.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it to a protected 10-30 VDC lighting circuit and control it from an external switch at the helm, cabin panel, or a nearby rocker switch location. If you want brightness control, use a compatible dimmer on the supply side and confirm the dimmer is rated for LED loads.
Use cases on board
Common installs include reading light duties at a berth, task lighting at the helm, cockpit prep lighting, and spot lighting for steps and companionways. The 5000K output reads as a crisp white, which helps when you are sorting lines, checking labels, or doing quick maintenance at night.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue off the exterior when you wash down the boat, especially around the pivot points and base edge. Avoid harsh solvents on the lens and finish, and periodically check that mounting screws stay snug after long runs in chop.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
