Overview
The Lumitec 101744 is a low-profile LED flood light for deck and perimeter lighting, and it runs on 10-30 VDC so it works on 12V and 24V systems.
Output is about 1,000 lumens with a beam that spreads light widely across work areas. Power draw is 16W (about 1.3A at 12V and 0.6A at 24V) and the housing is sealed to IP67 for spray and washdowns. The white light is 5000K with CRI 70+ for clear, usable illumination when you are handling lines, loading gear, or checking systems at night.
This configuration combines a dimmable white channel with an amber flashing output, with the functions controlled independently for practical on-board use.
Key features
- 10-30 VDC input for 12V and 24V DC systems
- 16W draw (about 1.3A at 12V and 0.6A at 24V)
- About 1,000-lumen flood beam for close-in deck, cockpit, and dock lighting
- 5000K white output with CRI 70+ for detail that stays easy to read
- Dimmable white channel plus an amber flashing output, controlled separately
- Timed Toggled Protocol (TTP) control and compatibility with third-party dimmers
- IP67-rated sealing for exposed mounting in wet areas
- Surface-mount aluminum housing with an impact-resistant plastic window
- Size: 6.36 in W x 1.73 in H x 1.48 in D
Installation and setup
The unit is a surface-mount light that installs with #6 fasteners and a 1/4 in wire exit hole. On boats, bed the fasteners and wire pass-through with a marine sealant so water stays out of the core and the wiring cavity.
For deck lighting with minimal up-shine, a common mounting height is about 3 to 4 ft above the surface. In service spaces, mount it where the beam lands on the work area rather than straight down onto the back of the panel or the side of the engine.
Electrical and switching
Wire it on a fused DC circuit and use marine-grade switching and connections that match the load. The light includes over-temperature protection to help manage heat in tight spaces, but clean wiring and correct fusing still matter.
The white output supports dimming via the timed toggle behavior, and the amber flashing function is switched independently. This layout is handy when you want steady white working light most of the time and a separate flashing signal when needed.
Compatibility and fit
This light is meant for 10-30 VDC systems, so it fits most common 12V and 24V installations without a converter. Before drilling, confirm you have clearance behind the mounting surface for the wiring bend radius and that the beam direction works with rails, canvas, or other hardware nearby.
Use on board
It is a good match for boats that want a clean flood on deck edges, aft work areas, or boarding zones while keeping glare down, and for docks or boat lifts where you want broad white light plus a separate amber flashing output. It also makes sense in cramped mechanical spaces where you need light that can be aimed across components instead of straight down.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off periodically and check fasteners and cable routing after the first few runs, especially if the mounting surface flexes. If you use cleaners, avoid harsh solvents that can haze plastics.
Warranty coverage is 5 years from the date of purchase for products purchased from January 1, 2025 onward; purchases before that date carry a 3-year warranty.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
