Overview

The Lumitec 101743 is a Caprera3 bracket-mount flood/spreader light with a black housing and Spectrum Halo output for deck, cockpit, and spreader lighting.

In white mode it puts out 1,200+ lumens at 5000K (CRI 70+) and runs on 10-30V DC, so it fits both 12V and 24V systems. The die-cast aluminum body and heat-tempered glass lens are sealed to IP67 for rain, spray, and routine washdowns.

Spectrum Halo adds a dimmable, colored glow that works well when you want light on deck without blasting full white. The beam is a flood pattern, so it covers a wide area rather than a tight spot.

Key features
  • 10-30V DC input for 12V and 24V systems; rated 12W and draws up to 1.0A at 12V (0.5A at 24V)
  • 1,200+ lumens in white output with 5000K color temperature and CRI 70+
  • Flood/spreader beam pattern for broad coverage across a cockpit, aft deck, or foredeck
  • IP67 sealed construction for wet mounting locations and washdowns
  • Die-cast aluminum housing with heat-tempered glass and a black finish that blends into towers and hardtops
  • Simple two-wire hookup (red positive, black negative) with built-in Timed Toggle Protocol for dimming and color functions
  • Reverse polarity and surge protection to help handle real-world boat power
  • Compatible with Lumitec Poco digital lighting control systems
Installation and setup

The bracket mount makes aiming straightforward. Mount it on a hardtop, radar arch, tower, or spreader base, then set the angle to keep light on the working area and off the helm. The light body measures 3.79 in wide x 1.10 in high x 2.49 in deep, which helps when you are fitting lights into tight hardtop overhangs.

Plan the wiring route so the cable is protected from chafe and does not cross hinge points or moving canvas hardware. On sailboats, aim the flood so it clears the sail track and does not throw glare back into the cockpit.

Electrical and control

Connect to a protected DC circuit within the 10-30V range. Current draw is up to about 1.0A on a 12V system and 0.5A on a 24V system, which is helpful when you are sizing wiring and overcurrent protection for multiple spreaders.

Control features are built into the light. With a standard on/off switch, brief power toggles are used to access dimming and color modes, and the light can also be tied into a Poco system when you want centralized control.

Use on board

This is a good match for boats that need a bright white work light for docking, line handling, and cleanup, and also want a softer colored glow for evenings at anchor or at the dock. Common mounting spots include under a hardtop for cockpit coverage, aft-facing on a radar arch, or on spreaders for lighting the foredeck.

Maintenance and care

Rinse after saltwater use and avoid harsh solvents on the lens and gasket. Periodically check mounting fasteners for loosening from vibration and re-aim the bracket if your typical use changes from fishing to docking or night passages.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
