Overview
The Lumitec 101236 is a flush-mount LED downlight with a glass lens and white/red/green output for overhead lighting on board. It runs on 10-30 VDC (12V or 24V systems), draws 6 W, and produces up to 380 lumens on white. The light is sealed to IP67 for wet areas and washdowns.
The face measures 3.25 in (8.25 cm) across, with a 2.00 in mounting hole requirement. Behind the panel, plan for about 1.11 in (2.81 cm) of depth and a body diameter up to 3.73 in (9.47 cm) to clear the spring clips and wiring.
Color changes are handled with timed on/off toggles from a standard switch, and the light is PLI enabled for integration with compatible Lumitec control systems.
Key features
- White/red/green output in one fixture for task lighting and night-friendly modes
- 10-30 VDC input for 12V and 24V DC systems
- 6 W draw with up to 380 lumens on white
- IP67 sealed for damp spaces and washdowns (not for permanent underwater mounting)
- 3.25 in face with a 2.00 in cutout; about 1.11 in depth behind the panel
- Spring-clip mounting for quick installs in headliners, hardtops, and consoles
- Polarity-sensitive two-wire hookup: black to negative, white or red to positive
- Timed Toggled Protocol (TTP) control from a standard on/off switch for mode changes
- PLI enabled for syncing and control in compatible Lumitec systems
- Plan circuit protection for up to 500 mA at 12 VDC (250 mA at 24 VDC) per light
Installation and setup
Cut a clean 2.00 in hole, confirm the backside has clearance for the spring clips, then pull the springs back and press the light into place until it seats. Leave enough slack in the wiring so the fixture can be pulled down later for service without yanking on connections.
If you are installing into a cored panel, seal the exposed core around the cutout to keep moisture from wicking into the laminate. On thin headliners, check that the spring clips have solid material to bite into.
Electrical and control
Wire the light directly to your DC distribution with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker, and size the protection based on the number of lights on the circuit. The unit is polarity sensitive, so verify positive and negative before powering up.
For control, the light can be switched with a simple SPST toggle or rocker. Quick off/on cycles step through the available output modes, while an off period of a few seconds returns the light to its default state.
Placement and use on board
This style of downlight is a common fit for cabins, heads, passageways, cockpits, T-tops, and helm overhangs where you want a clean overhead finish. Red and green modes are handy when you want lower visual impact at night while still seeing what you are doing on deck.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray when practical and wipe the lens with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can haze the lens or mark the finish, and periodically check wiring connections if the fixture lives in a high-vibration area.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
