The Lumishore 010-14453-00 is an MFD conversion cable used when a Lumishore lighting controller is being connected to a Garmin multifunction display network for on screen lighting control. It is a 1.6 ft cable, which is typically used as a short adapter run inside the helm electronics area.
In a typical install, this cable sits in the Ethernet link between the lighting control module and the Garmin network cabling that runs to the MFD or a Garmin network expander. For Garmin MFD installations, the conversion cable is required and the link should be made using Garmin network cables, not generic Ethernet patch leads.

Compatibility and fit

If your display does not have a Garmin network connection, or the lighting system is operated only by a dedicated keypad or mobile device, this cable may not have a place in the installation.
Installation and setup
Plan the cable run so the connectors stay protected inside the console or electronics box, away from bilge humidity and washdown spray. Leave a small service loop, support the cable so vibration does not work the connectors loose, and avoid tight bends right at the plug ends.
After the physical network connection is made, confirm the MFD software is up to date so the lighting control pages load correctly when the system powers on.
