Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 5021 is a water-resistant panel-mount AGC/MDL fuse holder for circuits that use glass fuses. It accepts fuse ratings up to 20A, the front face is rated IP66, and it installs in a 0.50 in. (12.7 mm) mounting hole.
This holder works well where the front of the panel sees spray, rain, or washdowns and you still want quick access to the fuse. It is also used as a direct replacement for fuse holders found in Contura Waterproof Fuse Panels, which makes it a practical match for repairs or panel refresh work on boats with existing Blue Sea panel layouts.
Key features
- Fits AGC and MDL glass fuses
- Maximum fuse rating of 20A
- Panel-mount design for a 0.50 in. (12.7 mm) cutout
- Front face rated IP66 for protection against heavy spray and washdowns
- Handles above-deck exposure such as salt spray, rain, hose washdowns, and momentary immersion
- Direct replacement for fuse holders used in Contura Waterproof Fuse Panels
- Fuse is sold separately
Compatibility and fit
This is the right style of holder when your panel uses AGC or MDL glass fuses rather than blade fuses. The 20A maximum matters when you are matching the holder to the circuit and fuse size already specified for the wiring.
For retrofit work, the key checks are the fuse family and the panel cutout. If your panel already uses this Blue Sea holder format or a 1/2 in. mounting hole, this part keeps the installation straightforward without changing the panel layout.
Installation and use on board
The panel-mount format keeps the fuse accessible from the front, which is useful at the helm, on switch panels, and in other exposed control areas where you may need to inspect or replace a fuse without pulling the panel apart. The cap opens easily, so routine fuse service is simpler in tight spaces.
This holder makes sense for boaters who need front-access fuse protection in places that see regular weather and washdown exposure. It is a strong fit for small DC circuits on coastal boats, center consoles, sailboats, and working panels that stay out in the open.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
