Overview
The Garmin 010-01740-00/LVS34 is a GPSMAP 1022 chartplotter bundled with the LiveScope Plus System (GLS 10 sonar module and LVS34 transducer) for real-time sonar views alongside navigation at the helm.
The display is 10.1-inch diagonal with a 1024 x 600 resolution, and the unit is operated by a keypad and control knob. It runs on 10 to 32 V DC for 12 V or 24 V boats and carries an IPX7 water rating for open-helm use and routine washdowns.
LiveScope Plus adds Forward, Down, and Perspective live sonar views. The LVS34 operates from 530 to 1,100 kHz with a 135 degree front-to-back and 20 degree side-to-side field of view, with range up to 200 ft depending on water conditions.
Key features
- 10.1-inch WSVGA display (1024 x 600) with keypad and control knob for confident control underway
- 10 Hz internal GPS/GLONASS receiver for fast position updates while running or maneuvering
- 10 to 32 V DC input to suit 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- IPX7 water rating for spray exposure and washdowns
- Garmin Marine Network plus NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 support for integrating sensors and networked electronics
- LiveScope Plus GLS 10 sonar module outputs over Garmin Marine Network for low-latency live sonar on the chartplotter
- LVS34 live sonar: 530 to 1,100 kHz, 135 degree by 20 degree field of view, up to 200 ft range (conditions dependent), with Forward, Down, and Perspective views
Installation and setup
The GPSMAP 1022 mounts on a bail bracket or flush in a dash. Plan space for the unit footprint and cable bends, and keep access to the two SD card slots for charts and data.
The GLS 10 sonar module mounts out of the way near the helm electronics and connects to the chartplotter with a Garmin Marine Network cable. Run power for both the chartplotter and module from a clean DC supply, and secure wiring so vibration and repeated hatch or console movement does not stress connectors.
The included transducer mounts cover common fishing layouts, including trolling motor, shaft, and Perspective mounting. Routing the transducer cable with strain relief and keeping the transducer face clear of aerated water helps the live view stay stable.
Networking and system integration
NMEA 2000 support keeps engine data, heading sensors, wind instruments, and other onboard sources on a single backbone, and NMEA 0183 helps when you are tying in older equipment that still uses that wiring. Garmin Marine Network ports let you share compatible network data across Garmin displays.
Built-in Wi-Fi connects with the ActiveCaptain app for software updates, chart management features, and phone notifications when paired with a compatible smartphone.
Charts and mapping
The unit includes a worldwide basemap and accepts optional chart cards, including BlueChart Vision, for more detailed coverage and Auto Guidance support where chart data allows.
Use on board
This bundle is a strong match for anglers who want a live sonar view at the bow or the helm without piecing together a separate sonar module and display. It also fits boats where the chartplotter needs to sit at the center of the network and share data with other electronics.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
