Overview
The Lumishore 010-04538-00 is a 2.5 m RGB LED strip light for hidden accent lighting around a boat. It runs on 12V DC only (10 to 15V) and uses a simple 2-wire power connection, which keeps wiring straightforward for refits and new installs.
The strip is fully encapsulated and potted with an IP68 rating, so it holds up in damp lockers, cockpit coamings, under-gunwale runs, and other areas that see spray and washdowns. At 10.8 mm x 5.2 mm, it fits into tight channels where you want the light to stay out of sight while the glow stays visible.
Key features
- 2.5 m RGB LED strip for indirect accent lighting in concealed runs
- 12V DC only input range (10 to 15V) for standard boat electrical systems
- Simple 2-wire installation for clean power hookups
- IP68 rated and fully encapsulated/potted for wet areas and washdowns
- 60 LEDs per meter with a slim 10.8 mm x 5.2 mm cross section
- Rated draw of 0.5A per meter (6W/m) for circuit planning
- Can be cut to length and the cut end must be sealed before installation
- Control options include basic on/off switching or an ECLIPSE Command Center
Compatibility and fit
This strip is meant for 12V DC systems and is not a match for 24V house banks unless you add an appropriate 24V to 12V converter sized for the load. Before ordering, confirm you have space for the 10.8 mm x 5.2 mm profile along the full run and a route for the 2-wire feed back to a fused 12V supply.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting path so the LEDs point toward a surface you want to wash with light, such as the underside of a gunwale lip or the face of a toe-kick. The strip can be cut to length, and sealing the cut end matters on a boat, especially in areas that see spray, condensation, or washdowns.
For wiring, keep splices above the lowest point of the run when you can, use marine-grade connections, and leave a little service loop at the feed end so the strip can be accessed later. If you are adding a controller or command center, allow room for it where it stays dry and accessible for troubleshooting.
Use on board
This is a good match for boat owners adding RGB accent lighting under gunwales, under seating, along steps, behind ceiling panels, or inside cabin joinery where you want the fixture hidden. It works well for dockside ambience, cockpit lighting during evening runs, and soft interior lighting without a visible fixture.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off when practical and avoid harsh solvents on the strip. Periodically check that the cut end seal and any wiring connections remain intact, especially in areas exposed to vibration and routine washdowns.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
