Overview
The Lumishore 010-04506-00 is a surface-mount underwater LED light with full-spectrum RGBW color change output and a 10.5 to 31 V DC input range for both 12 V and 24 V systems. It is rated IP68 for underwater mounting and produces a wide 90° beam, with 6,000 fixture lumens in white output.
The housing stays low-profile on the hull at roughly 70 mm (2.75 in) across and about 17 mm (0.67 in) in height, with an attached 2 m (6 ft 6 in) cable. An internal driver supports a straightforward two-wire power connection, and the light can run basic color cycling from a standard on/off switch or integrate with an ECLIPSE Command Center for expanded control.
Key features
- Runs on 10.5 to 31 V DC for 12 V and 24 V boats
- IP68-rated assembly for underwater installations
- RGBW color change output with 6,000 fixture lumens in white output
- 90° beam angle for a broad light pool; suitable for transom and hull-side mounting
- Low-profile face at 70 mm (2.75 in) diameter with about 17 mm (0.67 in) housing height
- Attached 2 m (6 ft 6 in) cable and internal multi-channel driver for simple two-wire power wiring
- Max current draw rated at 3.5 A on 12 V systems and 1.5 A on 24 V systems
- Built-in electrical protections including reverse polarity protection, inrush protection, and 3,000 V surge protection
- Marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens; bonding is not required
What's included
- Surface-mount underwater light with attached 2 m (6 ft 6 in) cable
- 3 mounting screws
Installation and setup
Mount the light on a flat section of the transom or side hull with clear access inside for routing the cable. For underwater illumination, placement 4 to 12 in (100 to 300 mm) below the loaded waterline is commonly used, and the light should be kept away from exhaust outlets and other heat sources.
Plan for a recessed cable-gland seat so the unit sits flush: drill the cable pass-through at 9/32 in (7 mm), then create a 17/32 in (13.5 mm) recess to about 5/8 in (15 mm) deep. Pilot holes for the mounting screws are 9/64 in (3.5 mm). Sealant should be applied to the back of the light and around the cable gland, and cored hulls should be sealed before fastening hardware.
Electrical and control integration
Power wiring is straightforward: connect red to vessel positive and black to ground, and keep all splices waterproof. Each light should be individually fused, with fuse ratings of 4 A on 12 V DC and 3 A on 24 V DC. Use marine-grade cabling sized for the run so voltage drop stays under control.
With a standard on/off switch, the light starts in white and then enters a color cycle. A quick off/on toggle pauses on a color and another off/on resumes the cycle; switching off for 5 seconds resets back to white. If using an ECLIPSE Command Center, the installation is for 12 V boats only, and the control wiring uses an additional control conductor beyond the basic two-wire power feed.
Materials and corrosion notes
The light uses a marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens and does not require bonding. On conductive hull materials, an isolation approach is required to reduce the risk of galvanic interaction at the mounting location.
Maintenance and care
Check the lens area regularly for growth, especially in warm water or when the boat sits. Clean with a soft cloth or a soft-bristled brush, and avoid abrasive pads, solvent-based cleaners, and pressure washing.
If the lens is covered for maintenance or painting, keep the light powered off until the cover is removed. Minor body discoloration can occur over time without affecting operation.
Use on board
This style of light fits boats that need underwater transom or hull-side lighting without a bulky through-hull footprint, including center consoles, sportfishers, and cruisers. It works well for dockside visibility, nighttime swim platform use, and general underwater accent lighting when the boat is at anchor or tied up.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
