Overview
The Lumishore 010-04504-00 is an SMX24 surface-mount underwater LED light that switches between blue and white output, with 3,100 verified fixture lumens in white and a 90° beam.
It operates on 12 V DC only (10.5 to 15 V) and draws up to 2.5 A. The light is built around a marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens and carries an IP68 water-ingress rating for below-the-waterline mounting.
This format is sized for smaller hulls and transoms, with a 70 mm face diameter and a low 17 mm housing profile. A 2 m (6 ft 6 in) cable is attached for routing inside the hull.
Key features
- Dual-color output (blue and white) from one fixture; each color runs at full power
- 12 V DC only (10.5 to 15 V DC) with up to 2.5 A max current draw
- 3,100 verified fixture lumens (white) with a 90° beam for a wide pool of light
- IP68-rated assembly with marine bronze body and borosilicate glass lens
- Simple 2-wire hookup; runs from a standard on/off switch or an ECLIPSE Command Center
- Integrated driver plus soft-start, reverse polarity protection, and 3,000 V surge protection
- 70 mm face diameter and 17 mm profile with a 2 m attached cable
- Specified for vessels up to 7.5 m (25 ft); isolation kit is required on conductive hull materials
Installation and setup
Mount on a flat section of transom or hull side where you can reach the back side for cable routing and sealing. The cable pass-through uses a recessed cut-out sized at 13.5 mm (17/32 in) so the fixture can sit flush against the hull.
For underwater illumination that stays usable at the dock and at anchor, placement 100 to 300 mm (4 to 12 in) below the minimum loaded waterline keeps the beam in the water without sitting too deep. Keep the light away from exhaust outlets or other heat sources.
When installing multiple lights, spacing of about 0.75 to 0.9 m (2.5 to 3 ft) between fixtures helps keep the glow even across the transom.
Electrical and control
This unit is for 12 V DC systems only. Wire red to +12 V and black to ground, and plan on a 4 A fuse per light with waterproof connections in the bilge or transom area.
On a standard on/off switch, the light cycles through white, blue, random strobe, and color fade by toggling the switch off and on within 2 seconds; switching it off for about 5 seconds resets it to white.
When connected to an ECLIPSE Command Center, the same light can be managed in zones and dimmed as part of a wider lighting setup through a compatible display or smart device.
Compatibility and fit
The SMX24 is specified for boats up to 7.5 m (25 ft). For conductive hulls such as metal or carbon fiber, use the appropriate hull isolation kit during installation.
Bonding is not required for this light, which can simplify retrofits where adding bonding conductors is inconvenient or not desired.
What's included
- SMX24 surface-mount underwater light with built-in driver
- 3 mounting screws
Use on board
This style of underwater light is a good match for smaller center consoles, RIBs, and runabouts that want a wide pool of light at the transom without a large cut-out. White mode is typically used when you want the most usable light in the water, while blue mode is often run at anchor or while drifting.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the lens area after saltwater use and avoid harsh solvents around the sealant line. After installation, allow the marine sealant to fully cure before the boat goes back in the water.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
