Overview
The Lumishore 010-04503-00 is an ECLIPSE SMX24 surface-mount underwater LED light that produces a white wash behind the boat. It runs on 12V DC only (10.5 to 15 V DC) and outputs 3,100 fixture lumens in a 90 degree beam, which helps create a wide pool of light close to the transom or hull side.
It carries an IP68 water-ingress rating for continuous underwater mounting and sits close to the hull with a 70 mm light face and a 17 mm housing profile. Power is a straightforward two-wire connection with an integrated driver, and the attached 2 m cable is sized for a clean run to a switch, breaker, or lighting control location.
Key features
- White output rated at 3,100 fixture lumens with a 90 degree beam.
- IP68-rated housing for permanent underwater mounting.
- 12V DC only supply range of 10.5 to 15 V DC; max current draw 2.5 A at 12V.
- Two-wire hookup with integrated driver (red positive, black ground).
- Each light should be individually fused with a 4 A fuse.
- Marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens.
- 70 mm face diameter with a 17 mm housing profile for low-protrusion surface mounting.
- 2 m attached power cable; extensions are possible with the correct gauge to manage voltage drop.
- Specified for vessels up to 7.5 m (25 ft); an isolation kit must be used on conductive hull materials.
- Works from a standard on/off switch and supports dimming and zone control when used with an ECLIPSE Command Center.
What’s included
- Surface-mount underwater LED light with attached 2 m cable.
- Three marine bronze mounting screws.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting position so the light sits on a flat surface with clear access inside the hull for the cable run. A common placement is 100 to 300 mm (4 to 12 in) below the minimum load waterline on the transom or along the hull side. Avoid areas near exhaust outlets or other heat sources.
Installation requires a cable pass-through hole and pilot holes for the mounting screws. The cable hole is intended to be recessed so the cable gland seats properly and the light sits flush; the cable pass-through uses a 13.5 mm (17/32 in) hole size. Use a marine sealant suitable for below-the-waterline hardware, and allow full cure time before the boat goes back in the water.
Electrical and control
This light is for 12V DC systems only. Wire it with an inline fuse per light (4 A) and keep all connections waterproof. If the cable needs to be extended, use an appropriate conductor size for the run length and load so voltage drop stays low, especially on longer stern-to-panel runs.
Control can be as simple as an on/off switch, which is a practical setup for a single transom light. When integrated with an ECLIPSE Command Center, the same light can be managed with additional control functions such as dimming and zone control.
Compatibility and fit
The light is specified for use on vessels up to 7.5 m (25 ft) and can be installed on common hull materials. On conductive hulls, an isolation kit is required as part of the installation approach. Bonding is not required for the light itself, but good practice still applies for the rest of the vessel’s DC system and corrosion management plan.
Use cases on board
White underwater lighting is often used to illuminate the stern area while rafting up, sitting at anchor, or working around the swim platform after dark. This size and electrical draw tend to match smaller boats that want underwater illumination without committing to large cutouts or higher-current lighting circuits.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the lens and housing after saltwater use and inspect the sealant line during routine haul-outs or stern-service work. Clean with mild soap and water and avoid harsh solvents that can affect seals and finishes.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
