Overview
The Vimar Idea 16345 SELV Socket Outlet is a 1-module polarized 2P socket for 24 V SELV circuits, rated at 6 A and matched to plug 01099.
This is a low-voltage outlet for installations that need a dedicated polarized connection instead of a standard power socket. In a boat, that matters when you are working within a 24 V system and need the connection point to stay consistent with the intended plug and polarity.
It also sits within the IDEA device range, which makes it relevant for replacement work, refits, and new panel layouts that already use that format. The two listed versions keep the same electrical specification and connection type, with the finish changing between Gray and Ivory.
Key features
- Polarized 2P 24 V SELV socket format for use with plug 01099
- 6 A nominal current rating for low-voltage circuits
- 1-module IDEA device format for compact switch and socket layouts
- Available in Gray and Ivory finishes to match surrounding trim and panel hardware
- Non-locking outlet body with no hinged lid
Variants
This product is offered in two finish configurations within the same IDEA socket format.
The visible color changes between variants. The core format remains the same across both versions: polarized 2P, 6 A, 24 V SELV, 1 module, for plug 01099.
- VM16345.B, Color Ivory. This version changes the visible finish for a lighter panel match while keeping the same socket format and rating.
- VM16345, Color Gray. This version changes the visible finish for a darker panel match while keeping the same socket format and rating.
Compatibility and fit
This outlet is intended for the matching 01099 plug, so fit should be checked at the plug level as well as at the panel level. It is not a general-purpose socket for mixed plug types.
Because it is a 1-module IDEA device, it makes the most sense where the vessel already uses IDEA components or where the panel layout has been planned around that module size.
Electrical and system integration
This is a 24 V outlet with a 6 A rating, so it belongs in a low-voltage circuit that matches those limits. The polarized format helps keep connection orientation consistent, which is useful when the circuit or connected accessory depends on correct polarity.
For boat owners and installers, this is a sensible match for interior helm, cabin, or service-panel locations where a compact 24 V SELV outlet is needed and the surrounding switch line is already built around IDEA devices.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
