Overview
The Lumishore 010-04490-00 is a 2.5 m ECLIPSE SNL100 Neon Flex strip light that runs on 12V DC only (10 to 15V DC) and produces a continuous blue line with no visible LED dots. It uses 60 blue LEDs per meter and is fully encapsulated and potted behind a spot-free diffuser for a clean, even glow.
The strip is rated IP68 and is suited to indoor use, outdoor use, and partially covered areas where it will see spray, vibration, and routine washdowns. It can be installed in wet areas, but it is not intended to live permanently submerged.
For planning clearances, the illuminated cross section is 12.0mm x 6.1mm and the end cap measures 14.0mm x 8.0mm. The strip can be cut to length in 25mm steps, but the cut end must be sealed before installation to keep the strip watertight.
Key features
- 2.5 m (98 in) blue Neon Flex strip light for accent lines along gunwales, headliners, steps, and T-top framing
- 12V DC only operation (10 to 15V DC), with max draw of 0.5A per meter (6W per meter)
- IP68-rated, fully encapsulated and potted construction with a diffuser that keeps the light as a continuous line
- Cut-to-length in 25mm steps, with sealing required at the cut end before installation
- Simple 2-wire hookup for basic on and off control
- Works with an ECLIPSE Command Center for on and off control plus dimming and zone control
- UV resistant and salt spray tested for typical marine exposure
Installation and setup
Lay the strip out straight before fitting so it can relax, then route it to the mounting location and mark the nearest cut point if you plan to trim it. Cut only on the marked cut points and seal the cut end before the strip goes on the boat. Mounting is done with stainless steel screw clips, and the cable can be routed with a bottom or side exit depending on the install.
Keep bends gentle and consistent. The strip has a 120mm minimum bend radius in the vertical axis, and it should not be bent in the horizontal axis or twisted. For runs longer than 1m, having a second person feed the strip while you fasten it helps prevent kinks and internal stress.
Electrical and system integration
This is a 12V-only light. Feed it from a protected 12V DC circuit and size wiring and fuse based on the full length you are powering. At the published maximum of 0.5A per meter, a 2.5m length can draw up to about 1.25A.
For basic installs, it connects as a 2-wire light and can be switched on and off. When paired with an ECLIPSE Command Center, the same strip can be dimmed and assigned to zones, and a zone can support up to 20m of Neon Flex. Keep single color, dual color, and RGB strips on separate zone outputs when using zoned control.
Compatibility and fit
Plan for the strip profile (12.0mm x 6.1mm) and for end cap clearance (14.0mm x 8.0mm) at the cable end. The strip suits straight runs and gentle curves along coamings, under-seat toe kicks, cockpit liners, and cabin overheads where you want a continuous blue line without point sources.
Use cases on board
This light makes sense for boats with a 12V house system that want blue accent lighting that stays clean-looking at night, even when the strip is in direct view. It fits well on fishing boats and cruisers where lighting gets sprayed down and where you want a low-profile strip tucked under edges rather than a bulky fixture.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off during routine washdowns and avoid harsh solvents that can attack plastics. Periodically check that clips are tight and that any sealed cut ends remain intact, especially in areas that see heat cycling and vibration.
Shipping

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
