Overview
The Lumishore 010-04485-00 is a 5 m dual-color strip light that lets you switch between blue and white light (5000 K white).
It runs on 12V DC systems only (10 to 15V DC). The strip is IP68-rated, fully encapsulated and potted, and measures 10.8 mm wide by 4.0 mm thick, so it fits into tight reveals under gunwales, coamings, and cabinetry.
For circuit planning, allow up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W/m). On the dual-color version, only one color channel should be powered at a time.
Key features
- 5 m strip length
- Switchable blue and white output, with white at 5000 K
- 12V DC only supply range (10 to 15V DC)
- Up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W/m) for load calculations
- IP68 ingress protection with fully encapsulated, potted construction
- Low-profile 10.8 mm x 4.0 mm cross section for narrow mounting spaces
- Cut to length in 50 mm steps, then seal the cut end before installation
- Simple 2-wire installation with control via an on/off/on switch or an Eclipse Command Center
Installation and setup
Lay the strip out straight before mounting and avoid twisting or bending it in the horizontal axis. Keep the bend radius to at least 50 mm and bend only in the vertical axis. For runs over 1 m, it helps to have a second person hold and uncoil the reel so the strip does not kink while you place it.
If trimming to fit, cut only at the marked cut points, then seal the cut end and allow the sealant to cure fully before handling. When using the adhesive backing, clean the mounting surface thoroughly and press along the edges of the strip rather than over the LEDs.
This strip can be installed indoors or in wet areas, but it is not intended for locations where it will be permanently submerged.
Electrical and control notes
Use a properly fused 12V feed and keep supply voltage within 10 to 15V DC. With dual-color wiring, do not connect both the blue and white channels so they can be on at the same time.
Basic switching supports on/off control and color selection. When used with an Eclipse Command Center, the same strip can also be dimmed and managed in zones where that system is installed.
Compatibility and fit
The 10.8 mm x 4.0 mm profile suits trim channels, toe-kicks, and other shallow recesses where you want light without a bulky housing. Plan your run around the full 5 m length and the 50 mm cut increments so your endpoints land cleanly at a cut point.
Use cases on board
Blue and white switching works well for cockpit and helm accent lighting, under-gunwale glow on fishing boats, and cabin courtesy lighting where you want a softer night option alongside neutral white. It is a good match for boats wired on 12V DC that need low-profile accent lighting in areas that see spray and routine washdowns.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue when practical and avoid harsh chemical cleaners on the strip or freshly sealed ends. If the strip has been cut and sealed, check the sealed end during routine inspections, especially in high-splash locations.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
