Overview
The Garmin 010-13404-20 is a wireless foot control for the Garmin Spy Pole mount, giving deck-level control of pole movement without adding a wired pedal run across the boat. It runs on 2 AA batteries, uses programmable buttons for quick access to selected Spy Pole functions, and mounts to the deck with a low-profile quick-release puck.
This pedal is built for exposed boat use, with an IEC 60529 IPX7 water rating and an operating temperature range from -15 degrees to 55 degrees C. Its footprint is 198 x 147 x 46 mm, so it can sit near the helm, casting deck, or cockpit control area without taking over valuable deck space.
The quick-release mount helps keep the pedal secure while the boat is moving, then lets it come off the puck when the deck needs to be cleaned or the control needs to be stowed. For anglers and operators who use a Spy Pole from the bow or another working position on deck, it keeps control underfoot while hands stay free for fishing, steering, or line handling.
Key features
- Wireless foot control for Garmin Spy Pole mount operation, with no control cable routed across the deck.
- Programmable buttons let the pedal handle selected Spy Pole functions from a standing position.
- Powered by 2 AA batteries, with typical battery life rated at 1 full season of use.
- Low-profile quick-release mounting puck secures the pedal to the boat deck and allows removal when needed.
- IEC 60529 IPX7 water rating for incidental water exposure common around open decks and washdowns.
- Compact 198 x 147 x 46 mm body fits practical deck locations where foot access matters.
- Operating temperature range of -15 degrees to 55 degrees C suits a wide range of boating conditions.
Installation and setup
The included puck mounts to the vessel with the supplied hardware, then the foot control slides onto the plate and locks in place with a click. The mounting plate should not be drilled through, since that can damage the plate and affect how the pedal locks down.
Battery installation is handled from the bottom of the pedal. Once the AA batteries are installed and the pedal is secured to the puck, it can be paired with the Spy Pole when manual pairing is needed.
Compatibility and use on board
This foot control is made for use with the Garmin Spy Pole mount. The Spy Pole can pair with one foot control at a time, which matters when replacing a lost pedal or adding a control to a different boat setup.
It is a good match for fishing boats where the operator works from the bow or casting deck and needs fast pole movement without reaching back to a helm display or handheld control. The quick-release setup also suits boats that get rinsed often or need a clear deck between trips.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
