Overview
The Lumishore 010-04481-00 is a 2.5 m white LED strip light for adding indirect lighting on board. It runs on 12 V DC systems (10 to 15 V DC) and uses a simple 2-wire connection, which keeps wiring straightforward for refits and new builds.
The strip is fully encapsulated and potted with an IP68 rating, making it a solid choice for damp lockers, under-gunwale runs, steps, and other spots that see spray and washdowns once terminations are sealed properly. Power draw is up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W/m), so a full 2.5 m length plans at up to about 1.25 A on a 12 V circuit.
With a slim cross section of about 10.8 mm x 5.2 mm, it tucks into channels and behind trim where you want the light to be seen but not the fixture.
Key features
- 2.5 m white LED strip for indirect lighting in cabins, cockpits, hardtops, lockers, and under-gunwale accents
- 12 V DC operation (10 to 15 V DC) with a straightforward 2-wire hookup
- IP68-rated, fully encapsulated and potted construction for wet marine environments when installed with sealed ends and connections
- Up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W/m) for practical load planning on existing lighting circuits
- Low-profile size around 10.8 mm x 5.2 mm for clean, hidden installs
- Cut-and-seal format for trimming the length to suit the run and finishing the end neatly
Installation and setup
Lay out the run first and confirm you have a clean path for both the strip and the supply wiring. Keep bends gentle, avoid hard corners, and protect the strip anywhere it could be pinched by panels or hardware.
If you cut the strip to length, finish the end with the correct sealing method so water cannot wick into the strip over time. Take a moment to plan where any splices or transitions will live so they stay accessible but out of direct spray.
Electrical and system integration
This is a 12 V DC light strip with a 2-wire connection, so it can be tied into a dedicated lighting switch or an existing lighting circuit as long as the circuit capacity is appropriate. Use the per-meter current draw to size wiring and fuse protection for the total installed length, including any additional strips on the same circuit.
Use cases on board
This strip works well for owners who want white accent light that stays out of sight, such as along toe-kicks, behind valances, under coamings, or inside storage compartments. It is also a practical option when you need an IP68-rated strip for areas that get damp during normal boating and washdowns.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue from exposed areas during routine washdowns and check any sealed ends and connections periodically. If the strip is installed in high-traffic spots, inspect for chafe and re-secure or protect the run anywhere vibration or movement could work it loose over time.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
