Overview

The Lumitec 101070 is a low-profile LED engine room and utility light that runs on 10-30V DC and produces 530 lumens of cool white output at 6500K.

It is sealed to an IP67 rating and is ignition protected and intrinsically safe, which suits it for engine rooms, mechanical compartments, and other onboard spaces that see moisture, spray, and vibration. The beam spread approaches 180 degrees, helping light reach into corners and under equipment where narrow beams leave shadows.

Overall size is 5.00 in wide, 2.5 in tall, and 0.63 in deep, so it fits well where mounting depth is limited.

Key features
  • 10-30V DC input range, 11W draw (about 900 mA at 12V and 450 mA at 24V)
  • Cool white 6500K output with CRI 70+ and 530 lumens
  • IP67 sealed against dust and temporary immersion
  • Ignition protected and intrinsically safe for use in mechanical spaces
  • Wide flood beam that approaches 180 degrees for even compartment coverage
  • Low-profile housing: 5.00 in (W) x 2.5 in (H) x 0.63 in (D)
  • Built-in dimming behavior using a brief power off/on during startup to set light level
  • Polarity sensitive DC wiring
  • Operating temperature range: -35 to +55 C (-31 to +131 F)
  • Brushed finish
What’s included
  • Nevis high intensity engine room light
  • Mounting hardware (#6 self-tapping screws)
Installation and setup

This is a surface-mount fixture. Pick a location that gives the light a clear path across the space, then route the power leads either through the wire exit behind the light or along the mounting surface, depending on how you want to dress the wiring.

The housing can get warm during normal use. Avoid enclosed pockets that restrict airflow around the fixture, and leave space for air circulation if it will be run at higher output for extended periods.

Electrical and system integration

Connect to a 10-30V DC circuit and follow ABYC-style practices for wire sizing and overcurrent protection. Because the unit is polarity sensitive, confirm positive and negative before finalizing the connection.

In engine rooms and wet lockers, sealed wire-to-wire connections such as adhesive-lined butt connectors help keep moisture and oil vapor out of the splice.

Use cases on board

This light works well as a service light for engine rooms, generator compartments, and mechanical lockers where you need an even spread over filters, belts, and valves. The IP67 seal also suits it for wet storage areas that get washdowns.

It is a strong fit for boats with either 12V or 24V systems where you want wide-beam white light and a fixture that stays low profile against the mounting surface.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
