Overview
The Lumishore 010-04480-00 is a 1 m white LED strip light for 12V DC systems (10 to 15 V DC) that adds clean accent lighting in tight spaces on board. It outputs white light at 5000 K with 60 LEDs per meter, draws up to 0.5 A (6 W) per meter, and uses an IP68-rated, fully encapsulated construction for wet locations.
This style of strip is commonly tucked under gunwales, under steps, behind valances, inside lockers, or along toe-kicks where you want light without seeing the fixture. It can be installed indoors or outdoors in exposed marine environments, but it is not meant to be permanently submerged.
The strip can be cut to length in 50 mm steps and the cut end should be sealed before it goes on the boat. Plan your run so the strip follows gentle curves only, with a minimum 50 mm bend radius, and avoid twisting or bending it sideways.
Key features
- 1 m strip length with white output at 5000 K
- Runs on 12V DC only (10 to 15 V DC operating range)
- 60 LEDs per meter for an even line of light
- Up to 0.5 A (6 W) per meter power draw for circuit planning
- IP68-rated, fully encapsulated and potted construction for wet locations and washdowns
- Simple 2-wire hookup for basic on and off control
- Cut-to-length in 50 mm increments when a custom fit is needed (seal the cut end)
- Low-profile strip section (10.8 mm wide by 4.0 mm thick) with end cap dimensions of 12.0 mm by 5.2 mm
Installation and setup
Dry-fit the strip first so you can confirm the routing, the bends, and where the light line will fall once it is hidden behind trim. Keep bends smooth, maintain at least a 50 mm radius, and do not twist the strip or bend it in the sideways direction. If you need a shorter run, cut only at the marked cut points and seal the cut end before mounting so water cannot migrate into the strip.
For mounting, the strip is intended to sit flat against a clean surface. Take the time to degrease and dry the mounting area so the adhesive backing can hold properly, especially in high-humidity compartments.
Electrical and system integration
Power is a straightforward 2-wire connection on a 12V DC boat. Use an appropriately sized fuse for the complete circuit and make splices in a protected location with marine-grade connectors and heat-shrink. For basic use, the strip can be switched on and off; for installations that need dimming and zone-style control, it supports use with an external lighting controller that provides those functions.
Compatibility and fit
This is the 1 m length in the SL100 strip format, which helps when you want a short run without coiling extra material. Confirm you have enough clearance for the strip section along the full path, plus a little room at the end cap area where the strip terminates. If the mounting location is exposed on deck or near a cockpit coaming, route wiring so it is supported and protected from chafe and vibration.
Use on board
This is a good match for boaters who want a crisp white line of light for step lighting, under-gunwale glow, or locker illumination while keeping the fixture itself out of sight. It also works well in cabins and saloons where you want nighttime lighting that is easy on the eyes without turning on overhead fixtures.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
