Overview
The Attwood Marine 90° P-Trap Fuel Tank Vent is a replacement cover range for Attwood P-Trap fuel tank vents used in boat fuel venting systems. These covers are meant for existing Attwood vent installations where the exterior cap or trim has been damaged, weathered, or lost, while the vent body and hose connection remain serviceable.
The matching P-Trap vent family is made for 5/8 in. I.D. fuel vent hose and is specified to meet ABYC standard. The P-Trap layout helps keep water from reaching the fuel tank vent line during normal sea conditions and washdowns, while still allowing air to move as the tank is filled.
Key features
- Replacement cover range for Attwood 90° P-Trap fuel tank vent installations.
- Helps restore the exterior vent cover without replacing the full vent assembly when the existing body is in good condition.
- Supports the P-Trap vent layout that allows tank ventilation during fueling while helping reduce water entry through the vent path.
- Associated with Attwood P-Trap vents for 5/8 in. I.D. fuel vent hose.
- Works with the vent family specified to meet ABYC standard.
- Available in configurations for different existing Attwood vent cover styles.
Variants
This product is offered in two replacement cover configurations. The correct choice depends on the Attwood vent already installed on the boat, so the existing vent body, cover shape, and visible trim should be checked before ordering.
The two listings separate the replacement by mount style and by the original Attwood vent model. Part 911526-1 is tied to the 1670 P-Trap vent, while part 911528-1 is tied to the 66419 P-Trap vent with stainless steel trim cover.
- 911526-1, Mount Style Standard: black replacement cover for the Attwood 1670 P-Trap fuel tank vent. This suits installations where the existing black exterior cover needs to be renewed while the standard vent body remains in place.
- 911528-1, Mount Style Flush: stainless steel replacement cover kit associated with the Attwood 66419 P-Trap fuel tank vent. This keeps the stainless trim appearance at the vent opening and should be matched to the existing Attwood vent body before installation.
Compatibility and fit
Because these are replacement covers, fit is driven by the existing Attwood vent model rather than by hose size alone. Before installation, compare the old cover and vent body with the selected replacement part, and confirm that the fuel vent assembly itself is not cracked, loose, or damaged.
For boats used in saltwater, exposed slips, or washdown-heavy fishing use, the vent cover is a small part that still matters. A missing or damaged cover can leave the vent opening more exposed, so replacement should be handled before regular spray, rain, or deck washdowns become a problem.
Installation and care
Install the replacement cover with the fuel system area well ventilated and away from ignition sources. If the old cover failed because of impact, corrosion around surrounding hardware, or movement in the vent body, inspect the hose, clamps, and mounting area before putting the boat back into service.
Routine cleaning with fresh water helps remove salt and deck grime from the vent area. Avoid sealing or coating over the vent opening, since the tank still needs clear air movement during fueling and normal operation.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
