Overview
The Attwood Marine LightArmor Fast Action is a 12V LED bi-color navigation pole light range for the bow of boats up to 20 m / 65.6 ft. It gives red and green sidelights in a removable pole format, with 2 nautical mile visibility for running at dusk, at night, or in restricted visibility.
This range uses an LED light engine with an impact-resistant, UV-stable polycarbonate housing and a red/green lens layout. It meets USCG CFR 183.810, ABYC A-16, and ISO 19009 requirements, which matters when replacing a bow light that must keep the vessel compliant rather than simply add light.
The 2-pin connection and locking collar make it suited to compatible plug-in bow light bases where the pole needs to be removed for storage, trailering, or boat cover clearance. The black housing keeps the installation visually low-key on modern decks and consoles.
Key features
- 12V DC LED bi-color bow navigation light for port and starboard side marking.
- 2 nautical mile visibility for boats up to 20 m / 65.6 ft in length.
- Meets USCG CFR 183.810, ABYC A-16, and ISO 19009 requirements for navigation light use.
- Impact-resistant, UV-stable polycarbonate housing for exposed deck and bow locations.
- LED light engine rated for 50,000+ hours and stays cool during use.
- 2-pin plug-in connection with a locking collar for secure fitment in compatible LightArmor plug-in bases.
- Available in 10 in, 12 in, 14 in, and 16 in pole lengths to suit different deck heights and sightline needs.
Variants
This LightArmor Fast Action range is offered in several pole lengths. The light type, bi-color output, 12V operation, 2-pin connection, and locking collar format stay consistent across the listed configurations.
The pole length is the practical difference. A shorter pole can suit low-profile bow areas, while a longer pole helps raise the light above rails, trolling motor hardware, or deck gear that could block visibility.
- NV6LC1-10BP1: 10 in pole length. This is the lowest profile option in the range and works well where the bow area is clear and cover clearance is limited.
- NV6LC1-12BP1: 12 in pole length. This gives a modest height increase while still staying easy to stow when the light is removed.
- NV6LC1-14BP7: 14 in pole length. This size adds more clearance above typical bow hardware and is a common choice for fishing boats and runabouts.
- NV6LC1-16BP1: 16 in pole length. This is the tallest listed option and helps lift the red and green sidelights above nearby fittings that could interrupt the required arc of visibility.
Installation and fit
Install the light as far forward as practical on an unobstructed smooth surface such as the gunwale, deck, or superstructure. The red side should face port and the green side should face starboard, with the light kept clear of rails, anchor gear, trolling motors, and other equipment that could block the beam.
The NV6LC1 locking collar style fits bases that use locking collars. Insert the pole, engage the electrical contacts, then slide the collar down and rotate it clockwise until the threads are fully engaged. Periodically check that the pole remains secure, especially on boats that see vibration, chop, or regular trailering.
Electrical details and care
This light is for 12V DC systems only. The positive navigation light wire requires a 1 amp fuse, and LED polarity must be correct for the light to operate. After wiring or rewiring the base, plug the pole in temporarily and confirm proper operation before finishing the installation.
When the pole is not in use, remove and store it where it will not be hit, bent, or left in constant contact with water. The pole is only for supporting the navigation light and should not be used as a handle, support, or flag pole.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
