The Attwood Marine 5010-4 is a heavy-duty Pro Series rod holder with a combo mount for boats that need flexible placement along the gunwale. It works with casting and spinning setups, can be mounted on the side or on top of the gunwale, and uses a large cam lever for up to 160 degrees of vertical adjustment.

The deep-tooth gear lock keeps the holder seated in its base when the boat is running or when a fish loads the rod. The throat opening fits rods up to 1-17/32 inches in diameter, and the locking ring accepts spinning reel handle shanks up to 1-15/32 inches. Installation and setup

The combo mount gives more flexibility than a single-position base, but final holding strength still depends on the surface under it and the hardware used. On thinner fiberglass or aluminum, a backing plate can help spread the load. Mounting hardware is not included, so fasteners should be matched to the boat structure and the tackle loads the holder will see in use.
