Overview
The Lumishore 010-04470-00 is a low-profile ECLIPSE CL30 courtesy light that switches between blue and white output for steps, walkways, and other onboard accent lighting. It runs on 12V DC systems only (10 to 15V DC), draws up to 0.1A, and is rated around 45 fixture lumens for close-range lighting where you want to see your footing without flooding the area.
The front bezel measures 33mm (1.3in) and the body sits about 30mm (1.18in) behind the mounting surface, which helps when you are working in tight toe-kicks, stair risers, or side panels. The light is fully sealed for wet areas and can be mounted inside or outside, but it is not intended to be permanently submerged.
This is a good fit for 12V boats that want the option to run blue light at night and switch to white light for boarding, cleanup, or quick checks at the helm without changing fixtures.
Key features
- Dual-color output: blue and white (5000 K white) in the same fixture
- 12V DC only (10 to 15V DC); max current draw 0.1A, with typical draw around 0.08A at 12V
- Compact footprint: 33mm (1.3in) bezel with about 30mm (1.18in) mounting depth and a low front profile
- 2-wire hookup for basic operation; toggling the power switch changes color on dual-color models
- Works with an ECLIPSE Command Center for zone control and dimming, when installed as part of that system
- Ignition protected to ISO 8846 for installations where ignition protection is required
- Built-in electrical protections including reverse polarity and surge protection
Installation and setup
Mount the light on a flat surface so the seal can sit evenly. The basic cut-out is about Ø22.5mm (0.88in), with the body clearing about Ø23mm (0.90in), and the 33mm bezel covers the hole edge from the front. Apply clear marine sealant between the lens and the mounting surface, and also between the rear hardware and the back of the panel to keep water from wicking into the core material.
Once the fit is right, bring the wiring to the rear of the light and secure it so vibration does not work the connections loose over time. After cleanup, use only a soft cloth with soap and water around the lens area and wipe off excess sealant before it cures.
Electrical and control notes
This light is for 12V boats only, so it should not be tied into 24V circuits or AC power. Use an appropriately sized fuse for the circuit and size the cable so voltage drop stays under 3% at the last light in the run. With a simple on/off switch, dual-color operation is handled by toggling the switch to change between blue and white; switching off for about two seconds resets the lights to white.
If you are integrating into an ECLIPSE Command Center system, keep single-color and dual-color lights on separate zone outputs. Do not connect this fixture to third-party lighting controllers or dimmers outside the ECLIPSE control system.
On-board use
Install it along companionway steps, cockpit toe-kicks, helm side panels, or under-gunwale areas where you want a small source of light for safer movement. Blue light is handy for preserving night vision during night runs or at anchor, while the white setting works better for tying lines, checking gear, and general task lighting at dockside.
Maintenance and care
Rinse and wipe with fresh water after salt exposure and clean with mild soap and water. Avoid chemical cleaners on the lens and keep an eye on the sealant line during routine washdowns so water cannot work behind the mounting surface.
