Overview

The Garmin 010-12236-01 is a carbon fiber mast bracket that mounts three GNX 120 instrument displays in one mast-mounted cluster. It fits mast diameters from 115 to 200 mm (4 to 8 in.) and the three-device bracket weighs 1.95 kg (4.3 lb) before displays and cabling are installed.

The bracket assembly combines an anodized aluminum front panel with carbon fiber side panels, and it routes network cabling behind the displays for a cleaner install. A NMEA 2000 backbone cable is supplied with the bracket so you can extend your backbone up to the mast-mounted instruments, while the right-angle drop cables and T-connectors used at the displays are supplied with the instruments.

Key features
  • Holds three GNX 120 displays in a single mast-mounted cluster for a consistent sightline from the helm or trim position.
  • Fits mast diameters from 115 to 200 mm (4 to 8 in.) for common cruising and race rigs.
  • Three-device bracket weight is 1.95 kg (4.3 lb) before adding displays and cabling.
  • Anodized aluminum front panel with carbon fiber side panels for a stiff mount that stays tidy on a vibrating rig.
  • Supplied NMEA 2000 backbone cable extends your backbone up to the mast-mounted cluster.
  • Mounting holes are not pre-drilled in the bracket-mounting arms, so they can be matched to your mast and hardware.
  • Mast fasteners are not included so you can choose hardware that suits your spar material and mounting approach.
Installation and setup

Plan the mounting location where the bracket will not be hit during normal sail handling, and where you can route the NMEA 2000 backbone cable cleanly back into the mast and down to the rest of your network. The bracket uses mounting arms that you prepare for your mast, so expect to drill to suit your spar and the fasteners you select.

Once the displays are seated in the front panel, the network components mount behind the instruments and the backbone cable is routed through the rear panels. Keep service slack for future removal of the displays and check that cable runs are protected from chafe inside the mast.

Compatibility and fit

This bracket is for installations using three Garmin GNX 120 instrument displays mounted on the mast. It is intended for NMEA 2000 system wiring at the display cluster, so confirm you have a continuous NMEA 2000 backbone run to the mast location and adequate backbone length to reach the bracket area.

Use cases on board

This layout suits sailors who want key data up where they can read it while trimming, steering, or working the foredeck. It is a good match for boats that already run GNX instruments and want a cleaner, mast-mounted cluster instead of multiple separate pods and brackets.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt and grit off the bracket during routine washdowns and avoid abrasive cleaners on the front panel. Periodically check mast fasteners and cable supports, especially after long upwind runs and heavy-weather passages.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
