Overview

The TACO Marine WP-800-900 is a plastic wedge plate for mounting TACO Grand Slam 800 VHF antenna mounts and Grand Slam 900 masthead anchor lights squarely on a curved T-top. It corrects the mounting angle so the GS-800 or GS-900 sits perpendicular to the T-top instead of leaning with the crown of the surface.

This is a practical fit-up part for center consoles and hardtop installations where a clean, upright antenna or masthead light position matters. It is made for the GS-800 and GS-900 mounting pattern, installs without drilling, and is sold individually.

Installation and fit

This wedge plate is used between the T-top surface and the compatible TACO mount or light base. Its job is simple but important: it compensates for a slight curve in the top so the installed accessory stands straight and looks aligned from the helm, cockpit, and dock.

Before installation, confirm that the boat is using a GS-800 VHF antenna mount or GS-900 masthead anchor light. For best results, test-fit the wedge plate on the T-top and check the final angle before tightening the assembly.

Use cases on board

This part is a good match for center-console boats, fishing boats, and other T-top installations where the mounting surface is not completely flat. It is most useful when the accessory already fits the boat, but the T-top crown would leave the antenna mount or masthead light visibly off angle.
