Overview

The Victron Energy CIP050060000 is a 6-way MEGA fuse holder with an integrated busbar for organizing protected DC circuits in a boat electrical system. It gives up to six MEGA fuse positions in one compact block, so branch circuits can be kept together instead of spread across several separate holders.

The holder is rated for a maximum current of 250 A and a maximum voltage of 70 VDC, making it suitable for many 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V DC marine power layouts when sized and installed as part of a proper circuit protection plan. Its covered format is useful in battery compartments, technical lockers, and DC distribution areas where clear circuit layout and easy inspection matter.

The unit measures 2.0 x 7.2 x 3.5 inches with the cover fitted, or 50.9 x 181.5 x 88 mm. The clear polycarbonate cover lets the fuse positions remain visible, while the black ABS base and tin-plated copper busbar strip give the assembly a practical construction for protected onboard installations.

Key features
  • Six positions for MEGA fuses, allowing multiple DC circuits to be grouped in one fuse holder.
  • Integrated tin-plated copper busbar strip, 3 x 18 mm, for a common feed connection across the fuse positions.
  • Maximum rating of 250 A and 70 VDC for high-current DC distribution layouts.
  • 5/16 inch / 8 mm terminal diameter for cable lugs commonly used in larger DC battery and distribution cabling.
  • Clear polycarbonate cover helps keep the fuse layout visible during inspection.
  • Black ABS base with UL 94 V-0 rating and clear polycarbonate cover with UL 94 HB rating.
  • Recommended terminal torque is 60 lbf inch / 7 Nm for consistent mechanical connection during installation.
Installation and setup

This fuse holder should be mounted where the cover can be removed for service and where cable bends can be made without putting stress on the terminals. In a boat, that usually means a protected electrical locker, battery compartment, or DC distribution panel area rather than an exposed deck or bilge location.

Use correctly sized MEGA fuses for each circuit and match cable size, fuse value, and load current to the vessel’s DC system design. The 8 mm terminal posts suit ring lugs, so clean crimping, proper cable support, and the specified 7 Nm torque are important for keeping resistance and heat under control.

Electrical and system integration

The shared busbar format makes sense when several protected circuits need to be fed from the same DC supply point. Typical onboard examples include distribution feeds for chargers, inverters, DC panels, windlass control circuits, or other high-current equipment, provided each circuit is fused according to its cable and load requirements.

This is a passive fuse holder, so it does not connect to NMEA networks or monitoring systems by itself. Its role is straightforward circuit protection and distribution organization inside the DC power system.

Materials and service access

The tin-plated copper busbar supports efficient current transfer across the holder, while the galvanized steel terminals and hex nuts form the mechanical connection points for the cable lugs and fuses. The clear cover makes it easier to check fuse placement and general condition without disturbing the wiring.

For saltwater boats, the holder belongs in a dry, protected location with periodic inspection as part of normal electrical maintenance. Checking terminal tightness, looking for discoloration from heat, and keeping the cover in place all help the installation stay orderly and serviceable.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
