Overview

The Garmin 010-12100-13 is a clutch/brake clamp and U-bolt mount base that gives your setup a 1-inch rubber ball connection point for a compatible ball-and-socket mounting system.

The U-bolt hardware fits round rails and pipes from 1/2 in to 1 1/4 in diameter, which covers many grab rails and helm supports found on small boats, RIBs, and personal watercraft. Once the base is in place, it pairs with standard 1-inch socket arms and a compatible device cradle so you can set the viewing angle and keep the screen within easy reach.

The rubber ball interface helps knock down vibration at the mount point, which matters when you are running in chop or mounting on a rail that flexes under load.

Key features
  • Integrated 1-inch rubber ball for common 1-inch ball-and-socket mounting components
  • U-bolt hardware sized for round bars and rails from 1/2 in to 1 1/4 in outside diameter
  • Alternate install method for clutch/brake clamp brackets using included standard and metric mounting bolts
  • Ball-and-socket style connection allows angle adjustment when used with a compatible socket arm
  • Rubber ball interface helps reduce shock and vibration transmitted to the mounted device
What’s included
  • Mount base with integrated 1-inch rubber ball
  • U-bolt hardware for round-rail mounting (U-bolt, nuts, washers, and protective caps)
  • Mounting bolts and spacers for clutch/brake clamp-bracket mounting (includes 1/4 in and M6 hardware)
Compatibility and fit

This is the base portion of a 1-inch ball mounting setup. Confirm that your arm and device cradle are built for a 1-inch ball before ordering, and confirm you have the matching pieces on the device side to complete the connection.

For the U-bolt install, measure the outside diameter of the rail or tube where you plan to clamp it. For the clamp-bracket install, check whether the factory bolts are 1/4 in or M6 so you can use the matching included hardware.

Installation and setup

When mounting with the U-bolt, center the base on the bar, install the washers, and tighten both sides evenly so the base sits square. Keep it snug and avoid crushing thin-wall tubing; 50 in-lb is a good target, and 80 in-lb is the maximum.

After the first trip, re-check the fasteners. Vibration and temperature swings can loosen hardware over time, especially on open boats.

Materials and corrosion resistance

The base uses a metal body with an integrated rubber ball, with mounting hardware intended for exposed installations. In saltwater, a quick freshwater rinse and a wipe-down around the ball and fasteners helps keep everything moving freely and limits surface corrosion.

Use on board

This setup makes sense when you need a compact mounting point on a round rail and there is not a flat dash surface in the right spot. It suits small craft where a clamp-on mount keeps a portable navigator or accessory screen close to your normal helm sightline without drilling the console.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
