Overview
The Jabsco Amazon Thrudeck is a manual bilge pump for through-deck or through-bulkhead installation, with variants for 1 in (25 mm) and 1-1/2 in (38 mm) hose ID. It moves up to 50 litres per minute (11 gallons per minute) and is self-priming up to 4 m, giving the boat a hand-operated way to clear bilge water without relying on electrical power.
The pump body supports 16 port position variations, which helps with hose routing in tight lockers, cockpit wells, lazarettes, and bilge spaces where a straight hose run is not always possible. Nominal dimensions are 120 mm high, 250 mm wide, and 210 mm long, with a 260 mm handle.
This is a practical fit for sailboats and powerboats that need an accessible manual backup pump, especially where the handle needs to operate from above deck or through a bulkhead while the pump body stays mounted below.
Key features
- Manual operation means no wiring, fuse sizing, battery draw, or switch panel connection is needed.
- Moves up to 50 litres per minute (11 gallons per minute) for bilge water removal by hand.
- Self-priming up to 4 m to help pull water from lower bilge areas when installed correctly.
- Mounts through the deck or through a bulkhead for flexible access to the operating handle.
- 16 port position variations help align inlet and outlet hoses with the available space on board.
- Quick-release clamp ring allows faster disassembly when the pump needs inspection or blockage clearance.
- Stainless steel handle with bulkhead clips gives the handle a secure storage point when not in use.
- Available for 1 in (25 mm) or 1-1/2 in (38 mm) hose ID, so the pump can match the vessel’s bilge hose layout.
Variants
The Amazon Thrudeck range is offered in two hose-size configurations. Both variants are manual through-deck bilge pumps with the same listed output of up to 50 litres per minute (11 gallons per minute).
The part that changes between variants is the hose ID connection size. The correct option depends on the hose already installed on the boat or the hose size specified for a new bilge pumping layout.
- 29250-0000: Hose ID 1 in (25 mm). This size suits installations built around 25 mm bilge hose where space and hose routing are more compact.
- 29250-0010: Hose ID 1-1/2 in (38 mm). This size suits systems using 38 mm bilge hose and keeps the pump matched to larger hose runs.
Installation and fit
The through-deck format places the operating point where it can be reached, while the pump body can remain mounted below deck or behind a bulkhead. That layout is useful in cockpits, companionway areas, lockers, and other locations where quick manual access matters but the bilge hose path is hidden below.
Before installation, check the hose ID, the available mounting depth, the handle sweep, and the direction needed for inlet and outlet hoses. The multiple port positions help reduce awkward bends, but the hose run should still be kept as direct as the boat allows.
Maintenance and care
A manual bilge pump should stay easy to access, even when cruising gear or fishing equipment is stored nearby. Periodic inspection is worth doing before longer passages, with attention to the hose connections, mounting hardware, handle storage, and any debris that may reach the pump from the bilge.
The quick-release clamp ring makes service access more straightforward when the pump needs cleaning. Keeping the bilge reasonably clean helps the pump move water more freely and reduces the chance of blockage during emergency use.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
