Compatibility and fit
Fit comes down to the tube size and the speaker pod format. Confirm your mounting tube is 2.875 inch outside diameter before ordering, especially if your tower is close to 2.75 inch or 3 inch sizing. This mount is meant for VeX pods and the matching enclosed system hardware, so it is not a universal clamp for every tower speaker.
Installation and setup
Mock up the pod location with the boat on the trailer and check clearances for bimini frames, board racks, folding towers, and rod holders. Tighten clamp hardware evenly from side to side so the halves draw together square on the tube, then re-check fasteners after the first day on the water.
Plan your speaker wiring run along the tower so it is supported and protected from chafe, and leave a drip loop where the cable enters the pod area. If the boat sees saltwater or frequent washdowns, a fresh-water rinse and a quick fastener check during routine cleaning helps keep the install looking and working the way it should.
