Overview

The Raymarine PP40-916 is a Performance Pack 40 wireless instrument package for yachts 40 ft and over. It brings mast-displayed race data, wind sensing, speed and depth data, compass input, and a handheld remote display into one Raymarine Micronet-based system, helping the crew read the numbers that matter without adding long cable runs through the rig.

The three included T210 Maxi displays use 50 mm (2 in) digits for quick reads from the cockpit, rail, or forward crew positions. The package also supports race functions such as target speed, distance to line, set and drift, tack-to-tack correction, speed trim, acceleration, and trend indication, which makes it a strong fit for larger sailing yachts where start-line work, sail trim, and repeatable performance data matter.

Key features
  • Complete wireless instrument package for sailing yachts 40 ft and over, covering wind, speed, depth, compass, remote display, and mast display needs.
  • Three T210 Maxi displays give the crew large 50 mm (2 in) mast readouts for fast checks during starts, tacks, and sail trim changes.
  • Solar-powered wireless display and wind-transmitter architecture reduces the need for mast cabling and helps keep weight out of the rig.
  • T103 speed and depth system includes a triducer for speed, depth, and water temperature data feeding the wireless instrument network.
  • T106 remote display starter system adds handheld viewing and control, with a wireless NMEA 0183 interface for compatible onboard data.
  • Race-focused functions include target speed, distance to line, set and drift, auto screen change, tack-to-tack correction, speed trim, acceleration, and trend indication.
  • 8 Hz with 2 Hz display updates supports responsive feedback when conditions and boat handling are changing quickly.
  • T234 Mast Bracket Maxi 3-up mounts the three Maxi displays together as a single mast display cluster.
What’s included

Installation and setup

This is a full sailing instrument package, not just a display replacement. The wind transmitter mounts at the masthead, the speed and depth triducer installs through the hull, and the three Maxi displays mount together on the supplied 3-up mast bracket where they can be seen from key crew positions.

Plan the display location around real sight lines on deck, including the helm, trimmers, and rail crew. After installation, calibrate the wind, speed, depth, compass, and race pages so the mast displays and remote display reflect the boat’s measured setup rather than generic defaults.

Electrical and system integration

The package is centered on Raymarine wireless Micronet instruments, so sensor and display data can move around the boat without conventional display-to-sensor cable runs. The included remote display starter system gives the installation a practical path for compatible NMEA 0183 data, which can be useful when bringing in information from onboard navigation or performance equipment.

For boats already built around SeaTalkng or NMEA 2000 equipment, the network plan should account for any gateway hardware needed to share data outside the Micronet system. This keeps the installation cleaner and helps avoid surprises once the displays, sensors, and existing electronics are being commissioned together.

Use cases on board

This package suits performance-focused cruising and racing yachts where wind, speed, depth, heading, and start-line information need to stay visible to more than one crew position. It is especially useful on boats that want mast-mounted readouts and a handheld display while limiting the amount of wiring that must be routed through the mast and cockpit.

Maintenance and care

Keep the solar areas on the wireless displays and wind transmitter clean so the instruments can maintain their charge properly. During normal service checks, inspect the masthead transmitter, display bracket hardware, and through-hull triducer area, especially after heavy-weather sailing, haul-out, or work around the rig.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
