Overview

The Raymarine T70156 is an EV-200 Power Pilot autopilot pack for powerboats with hydraulic steering, supplied without the hydraulic drive unit. It is a practical upgrade path for boats that already have a compatible Type 1 hydraulic drive, or for installations where the drive unit will be selected separately to match the vessel steering system.

The system uses the EV-1 sensor core with 9-axis heading and motion sensing, an ACU-200 actuator control unit, and a p70Rs autopilot control head. This combination helps the pilot react to heading, pitch, roll, and yaw so it can hold course more smoothly as sea conditions and boat behavior change.

SeaTalkng networking keeps the autopilot connected to the rest of a Raymarine electronics system, while the EV-200 setup avoids the long compass calibration routines found on older pilot systems. The drive unit is not included, so hydraulic drive compatibility should be confirmed before installation.

Key features
  • EV-200 Power Pilot pack for hydraulic outboard and inboard powerboat steering systems.
  • Supplied without the hydraulic drive unit, making it suitable when a compatible Type 1 drive is already installed or purchased separately.
  • EV-1 sensor core uses 9-axis heading and vessel motion sensing for adaptive autopilot control.
  • ACU-200 actuator control unit handles autopilot drive control and ties into the SeaTalkng network.
  • p70Rs control head gives helm access to autopilot modes and course control through a rotary control interface.
  • No lengthy compass calibration process is required after installation.
  • Hydro-Balance steering control helps reduce hydraulic steering oscillation and drive-unit hunting.
  • SeaTalkng connectivity supports integration with compatible Raymarine displays, sensors, and network components.
Installation and setup

This pack belongs in a below-deck autopilot installation where the ACU, EV sensor, control head, cabling, and hydraulic drive all need to work as one steering system. The EV-1 sensor core can be mounted above or below deck, which gives installers more freedom to place it away from magnetic interference and heavy vibration.

Because this version does not include the drive unit, the key installation step is matching the separate hydraulic drive to the boat steering system. Before ordering or fitting the system, confirm the steering type, cylinder volume, available mounting space, and the required Raymarine drive unit for the vessel.

Electrical and system integration

The EV-200 system is built around Raymarine SeaTalkng networking, so it is a strong match for boats already using Raymarine multifunction displays or planning a Raymarine-based electronics layout. The included cabling kit supports the network backbone and spur connections needed to link the pilot components together.

For best results, autopilot power, drive wiring, network layout, and helm control placement should be planned before installation begins. This is especially important on fishing boats, coastal cruisers, and powerboats that need the autopilot to hold a steady course while the crew manages navigation, lines, or deck work.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
