Overview
The JL Audio 010-03132-00 is a MediaMaster 105 marine source unit with a 3.5-inch TFT color display (320 x 480) and four independent audio zones for boats that run separate amps and speaker groups.
It operates on 12V negative-ground systems with an allowable input of 10 to 15.9 VDC and uses a 5A fuse. Each zone provides low-voltage RCA outputs, with a stereo pair plus a mono subwoofer output per zone, so it feeds external marine amplifiers instead of driving speakers directly.
For planning fit behind the dash, the chassis measures 5.94 in x 3.90 in x 3.94 in (151 mm x 99 mm x 100 mm) with a mounting hole of 4.72 in x 3.25 in (120 mm x 83 mm). The front is rated IP67 for wet helm installs, but it should not be submerged or subjected to high-pressure spray.
Key features
- 12V-only power requirement (10 to 15.9 VDC allowable) for negative-ground systems, with a 5A fuse and 1.5A maximum current draw
- Four-zone, 12-channel preamp output layout: a stereo pair plus mono subwoofer RCA outputs for each zone
- Output modes per zone include Relative, Absolute, Fixed, or Off, with Fixed level options of 4V, 2V, or 1V RMS
- NMEA 2000 connection with LEN 1 using a Micro-C connector for network integration with compatible controllers and displays
- Bluetooth audio streaming with Qualcomm aptX support, up to 35 ft (11 m) range, and pairing for up to 8 devices
- Dual USB ports for media playback: USB 1 supports iPhone or USB storage with 2.1A charging, USB 2 supports USB storage with 500 mA output
- Two stereo RCA AUX inputs with selectable 2V or 1V RMS input sensitivity
- AM/FM tuner with RDS support, plus DAB+ tuning capability; SiriusXM support with a SiriusXM Connect tuner (sold separately)
Installation and wiring
Mount it in a location that stays ventilated and protected from direct, heavy spray. Power is a switched +12V feed (red) and ground (black), with the 5A fuse placed at the power connection point. There is also a +12V illumination input (orange) for tying into your dash lighting, and an amplifier remote turn-on output (blue) for triggering external amps.
On 24V boats, plan on a proper DC-DC conversion to a stable 12V supply before this unit. If your boat sees voltage sag at start-up or when heavy loads kick on, the built-in low-voltage alert behavior is a useful reminder to check battery condition, cabling, and charging system health.
Audio system planning
This layout works well when your boat has separate listening areas that need different volume levels, like cockpit and cabin, or a tower and the main deck. Since each zone has its own RCA outputs, you can route signals cleanly to multiple amplifiers and keep wiring tidy in the helm and electronics bay. Zone naming and per-zone settings help keep control straightforward once the system is tuned.
Connections and day-to-day use
Bluetooth is handy for quick playback from phones and tablets, while USB ports cover stored music and keep devices topped up. For hardwired sources, AUX 1 and AUX 2 accept standard stereo RCA inputs. If you run an NMEA 2000 backbone, the Micro-C connection makes it easy to place the stereo on the network so it can show up as a named device and integrate with compatible control options.
This unit is a good match for boaters building a multi-amp system where zone control matters, like cruisers with an interior cabin and an open cockpit, or fishing and tow boats that split speakers across helm, transom, and tower areas.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
