Overview
The Attwood Marine Aft-Deck Shower system is a flush-mount pull-out shower range for rinsing off after swimming, clearing salt and sand from the cockpit area, or adding a convenient fresh-water spray point at the stern. The system installs in the transom or under the gunwale, keeping the spray head and controls stored behind a hinged cover when not in use.
Across the range, the housing and cover are made from high-impact engineering-grade polycarbonate, and the shower box is pre-drilled for six #8 fasteners. Installation uses an 8-1/2 in x 4 in cutout, with enough clearance behind the panel for the hose to pull out and return freely.
Hot and cold versions include mixing controls for connection to the boat’s fresh-water system, while the cold-water version is set up for simpler rinse-down service and includes pump on/off control. This makes the range useful for swim platforms, aft decks, cockpit areas, and small craft where a full shower compartment is not practical.
Key features
- Flush-mount shower box installs in the transom or under the gunwale to keep the deck area clear.
- Hinged cover helps protect the spray head and controls when the shower is stowed.
- Hand-held shower sprayer with 6 ft hose gives enough reach for rinsing swimmers, pets, gear, and aft-deck surfaces.
- High-impact engineering-grade polycarbonate housing and cover suit exposed marine mounting locations.
- Pre-drilled housing accepts six #8 fasteners for a secure panel installation.
- Available in hot and cold mixing versions or a cold-water version with pump on/off control.
Variants
This Attwood Marine shower range is offered in three configurations covering hot and cold water supply, cold-water-only service, flush-mount style, and packaging type.
The main functional difference is the water supply setup. The 4131 versions are hot and cold aft-deck showers with mixing controls, while the 4133 version is a cold-water flush-mount shower with pump on/off control. The flush-mount installation format, hinged cover, pull-out sprayer layout, and 6 ft hose are consistent across the shower system range.
- 4131-1: Hot and cold water supply, flush-mount aft-deck shower, OEM part packaging. This configuration suits factory-style installations where both hot and cold fresh-water lines are available at the aft deck or transom area.
- 4131-4: Hot and cold water supply, flush-mount aft-deck shower, aftermarket part packaging. This configuration is the hot and cold version for retrofit or replacement work where a boxed aftermarket part is preferred.
- 4133-1: Cold water supply, flush-mount shower, OEM part packaging. This configuration keeps the installation simpler for rinse-down use and includes pump on/off control for systems using a compatible fresh-water or self-priming wash-down pump setup.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location before cutting the panel. The shower box needs an 8-1/2 in x 4 in opening, plus room behind the surface for the hose to move without kinking. The transom, aft deck, or under-gunwale area should be flat enough for the cover to close cleanly and accessible enough for plumbing connections and future service.
Hot and cold versions connect to the appropriate fresh-water lines, with the controls blending the water at the shower box. The cold-water version is better suited to a simple rinse station and may be used with a fresh-water system or a self-priming wash-down pump arrangement where the installation supports it.
Use cases on board
This shower system is a practical match for boats that need a compact rinse point without taking up cockpit or deck space. It works well at the stern for swimmers coming aboard, on fishing boats where salt and sand need to be cleared quickly, and on cruising boats where a pull-out rinse hose adds comfort without a full exterior shower fixture.
Maintenance and care
After use in saltwater conditions, rinse the spray head, hose, and cover area with fresh water when possible. Before freezing temperatures, drain the water lines and fittings so trapped water does not damage the system or the boat’s plumbing.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
