Overview
The Garmin 010-04541-00 is an ECLIPSE DL55 recessed downlight that runs on 12V DC and combines 5000K white light with RGB color in a black-finish bezel.
It is fully sealed to IP67 for washdowns and wet areas on board, while still being intended for above-water mounting rather than permanent submersion. The fixture fits a 50.8 mm (2 in) cutout, with a low 21.2 mm depth behind the panel, which helps when you are working with thin headliners and tight overhead spaces.
Key features
- White (5000K) plus RGB color in one downlight
- 12V DC only, operating range 10 to 15V DC
- IP67 sealed front for wet areas and washdowns (not for permanent submersion)
- Fits a 50.8 mm (2 in) mounting hole with 21.2 mm depth behind the mounting surface
- 64.0 mm bezel diameter with a low-profile 3.5 mm visible trim
- Simple 2-wire power connection for standard on and off switching
- Compatible with ECLIPSE Command Center control when installed as part of an ECLIPSE system
- Typical draw about 0.33A at 12V (around 4W), with 0.4A max current draw
- Stainless steel spring clips for quick mounting in interior panels
Compatibility and fit
This downlight is for 12V DC boats only. If your vessel is 24V, you will need a proper 24V to 12V DC converter sized for the total lighting load, or a 12V lighting circuit already on board.
Plan the mounting location around the 50.8 mm cutout and the 21.2 mm rear depth. The light is meant to mount on a flat surface, so curved overhead liners or radiused hardtop panels can cause fit issues and sealing gaps.
Installation and setup
For most interior installs, the spring clips hold the light securely once the hole is cut cleanly and the panel is solid. For exterior overheads and wet areas, bonding the fixture in place with a suitable marine sealant or adhesive is commonly used for extra security against vibration and water exposure.
Leave room behind the panel for wiring and airflow. The rear of the light can get warm in use, so mount it to a surface that can handle normal fixture heat.
Electrical and control
On a simple on and off switch, the light powers up in white, and quick toggles step through the color cycle and pause on a selected color. A short off period resets the light back to white.
When you want zone control and coordinated color changes across multiple fixtures, the DL55 is used with an ECLIPSE Command Center. Keep lighting control consistent within each output so the system behaves predictably.
Use cases on board
This fixture makes sense for cabin headliners, cockpit hardtops, T-top undersides, companionways, and heads where you want normal white task lighting and the option to switch to RGB for night ambience. It suits owners outfitting a new interior lighting plan on a 12V boat, or replacing older recessed downlights while keeping the cutout size at 2 in.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off the bezel and lens as part of regular washdowns. For cleaning, use mild soap and water with a soft cloth and avoid chemical cleaners that can haze lenses or attack seals.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
