Overview

The Garmin 010-02706-40 is a LiveScope Plus ice-fishing sonar package that adds real-time Forward and Down views to a compatible Garmin chartplotter. It pairs a GLS 10 sonar module with an LVS34-IF transducer, running 530 to 1,100 kHz with 500 W transmit power and an on-screen view up to 200 ft.

This setup is meant for anglers who already run a Garmin GPSMAP or ECHOMAP display on the boat and want to take that same screen onto the ice. The included 0-degree pole mount keeps the transducer oriented correctly, and the system runs on 10 to 32 V DC so it fits typical 12V or 24V power setups.

Key features
  • LiveScope Forward and LiveScope Down views from the included LVS34-IF transducer
  • Up to 200 ft maximum depth/distance with a 20° x 135° beam pattern
  • Operates at 530 to 1,100 kHz with 500 W transmit power for detailed, fast-updating returns
  • GLS 10 sonar module accepts 10 to 32 V DC input and uses a 10 A fuse
  • Connects to the chartplotter over Garmin Marine Network and uses a 21-pin transducer connection
  • 20 ft transducer cable helps reach from the hole or pole to the module without strain
  • IPX7 water rating for wet, cold conditions and typical deck spray
Compatibility and system requirements

A compatible Garmin chartplotter is required for the display. This system connects through Garmin Marine Network and is used with select Garmin GPSMAP and ECHOMAP chartplotters, including ECHOMAP UHD, UHD2, Ultra, and Ultra 2 series units that support LiveScope.

Plan space for the GLS 10 module and cable routing before you drill or mount anything. You will need a clean 10 to 32 V DC supply and a 10 A fused circuit for the sonar module.

Installation and setup

Mount the GLS 10 sonar module on a flat surface where it will stay secure and out of the way, then run the transducer cable to the module without tight bends or pinch points. On the ice, the pole mount keeps the LVS34-IF aligned so you can rotate between Forward and Down viewing as needed.

Take a moment to secure cables so they do not snag boots or gear. In freezing conditions, keep connectors dry and free of ice, and stow cables so the jacket is not stressed when coiled.

Use cases on board

This package is a good match for anglers who already run a Garmin chartplotter on the boat and want real-time sonar for hard-water trips without switching ecosystems. It is also useful when you want to watch fish movement and bait action live, especially when fine-tuning jig cadence in deeper water.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt or grit off the transducer and connectors after use, then dry everything before storage. Protect the cable ends, avoid sharp bends near the connectors, and check mounting fasteners periodically if the kit is transported often.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
