Overview

The Victron Energy BMS300200300 is a VE.Bus BMS NG battery management system for Victron Lithium NG batteries in installations that use Victron VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers. It supports 12V, 24V, and 48V Lithium NG battery banks and monitors individual cell voltage and temperature conditions before commanding charge or load disconnect actions.

This unit is a good fit for boats using Victron lithium power systems where the inverter/charger, chargers, DC loads, and monitoring devices need to respond correctly to battery protection limits. Built-in Bluetooth Smart lets the system be configured, monitored, and updated through VictronConnect, with key battery data such as voltage, current, state of charge, battery temperature, warnings, and alarms available from the battery through the BMS.

The compact enclosure measures 105.8 mm x 95 mm x 23.2 mm and weighs about 120 g, which helps when planning a clean installation inside a protected electrical locker, console, or equipment panel. It is not compatible with Victron Lithium Battery Smart batteries, so it should be matched specifically with Victron Lithium NG batteries.

Key features
  • Works with Victron Lithium NG batteries in VE.Bus inverter or inverter/charger systems.
  • Supports Lithium NG battery banks arranged for 12V, 24V, or 48V systems.
  • Monitors cell overvoltage, cell undervoltage, over-temperature, and under-temperature conditions.
  • Can disable inverting through VE.Bus and disconnect other loads through the Load Disconnect terminal when a cell undervoltage condition occurs.
  • Can disable charging through VE.Bus, control compatible solar chargers through a GX device, and disconnect other chargers through the Charge Disconnect terminal when battery protection requires it.
  • Bluetooth Smart support allows wireless configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates through VictronConnect.
  • Pre-alarm output gives advance warning of an imminent cell undervoltage condition and can drive a relay, LED, or buzzer up to 1A.
  • Remote on/off terminal allows the Load Disconnect and Charge Disconnect outputs to be controlled from a remote switch or system control point.
  • Three LED indicators show Bluetooth status, warning or alarm errors, and VE.Bus status.
  • Remote panel connection supports use with a GX device, Digital Multi Control panel, VE.Bus Smart Dongle, or a combination of these devices.
Installation and setup

Install the BMS in a dry, protected location with access to the VE.Bus equipment, battery communication wiring, and any remote control or alarm wiring used on the vessel. On a boat, this usually means a serviceable electrical compartment rather than an exposed bilge, cockpit, or washdown area.

MultiPlus, Quattro, and compatible VE.Bus inverters connect through the MultiPlus/Quattro port using a standard RJ45 UTP cable. The BMS can then command the VE.Bus equipment to stop inverting or stop charging when the Lithium NG battery status requires protection.

Electrical and system integration

The Load Disconnect output is used for loads with a remote on/off input, such as a BatteryProtect, inverter, DC-DC converter, or other controlled DC load. The Charge Disconnect output is used with compatible chargers or charge-control devices so that charging can be stopped when a cell overvoltage or temperature condition is detected.

A GX device such as a Cerbo GX can be part of the installation when the boat needs system-level visibility or control of compatible chargers. This makes the unit useful for cruising yachts, fishing boats, and workboats that already use Victron monitoring and want battery protection actions to be coordinated through the onboard power system.

Compatibility and fit

This BMS is for Victron Lithium NG batteries only. It should not be used as a replacement for BMS models intended for Victron Lithium Battery Smart batteries, and it should be checked against the existing inverter, inverter/charger, charger, and remote control layout before installation.

The unit suits installations where a compact BMS is needed close to the core DC power equipment, with clear wiring paths to the battery bank, VE.Bus device, remote panel devices, load control circuits, and charge control circuits.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
